Description

[Machine Translation] [Katsuji Suehiro was released from Abashiri on parole after serving a year and a half of his sentence. However, without being reunited with his mother, he returns to Abashiri after committing an assault. His fellow prisoners are delighted, but Ouchi, a probation officer and town doctor who has a warm affection for Suehiro, scolds him, telling him of his mother's death. Meanwhile, Kumazawa, the prison boss, teams up with the guards to do evil and kill Suehiro's fellow inmates as well. Suehiro's anger explodes, and the prison is plunged into chaos! This film, in which Ken Takakura's hit character Katsuji Suehiro goes on a rampage in Abashiri Prison and in the wilds of Hokkaido, is a giant action film colored with such great showpieces as a riot by prisoners who have wrested rifles and pistols from the guards and a sub zero escape that turns the white and silver to blood. This is the 17th installment in the series, with a splendid cast including Noboru Ando, Yuriko Hoshi, Hayato Tani, Kunie Tanaka, and Toshio Kurosawa, who makes his Toei debut in this film.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.

SACD (Super Audio CD)
