Description

[Machine Translation] ["Toei The Classic" Series #24] Everything is a weapon! Everywhere is a battlefield! Seventeen shadows strike terror into the ironclad castle! This ninja action film depicts a tense and suspenseful 30-day battle between the 17 Koga ninjas and the Negoro ninjas who intercept the 17 Koga ninjas as they pursue a letter of rebellion hidden within Sunpu Castle. The film depicts with a touch of realism the precise division of roles among the seventeen members of the Iga ninja clan, who were secretly ordered by the shogunate, and their self-sacrificing team play as dummies and decoys to achieve their goal. The film stars Otomo Ryutaro as the leader of the Iga ninja San-no-gumi, followed by Kotaro Satomi, Chiyonosuke Azuma, Ryuji Shinagawa, Kunio Kaga, Tokuei Hanazawa, Toshiya Wasaki, and Yuriko Mishima. Konoe Jushiro plays the role of the leader of the Negoro Ninja, who is intercepted, and shows his brilliance with sword and strategy. Other prominent actors include Koshiro Harada, Kyushuo Abe, and Kenji Usueda. The screenplay was written by Kaneko Ikegami, cinematography by Motoya Washio, and directed by up-and-coming Yasuto Hasegawa, who made his debut with "Yagyu Bugeicho: Katame Suigetsu no Ken. --In the 8th year of the Kan'ei Era, the second shogun, Hidetada, was seriously ill, and the time of Iemitsu was about to arrive. However, Iemitsu's younger brother, Tadanaga, is gathering letters of rebellion from 11 feudal lords in the western part of the country, and is showing some eerie movements....

SACD (Super Audio CD)
