Description

[Machine Translation] [Harbor Yokohama - where there are songs, love, and friendship. There is Harumi, a poor but lively port girl, Kenji, a handsome madross who has learned to live by the sea, and Saburo, a sailor who sings very well. The three stars are Hibari Misora, Ken Takakura, and Hachiro Kasuga, who are the most popular and talented singers in Japan. The three youthful stars fight bravely against a corrupt yakuza family in Yokohama in this exhilarating coming-of-age film. --Harumi is a young girl who works at a hotel and bar in a port town called Uminekotei. Harumi works there and lives with her father, Shinzo, when a friendly sailor, Kenji, comes by on a whim. However, Nobuzo's ship is burned down and he is blinded by the schemes of the evil boss at the port. The evil boss has been after Harumi for some time. Kenji is busy making money by gambling and smuggling boats for Harumi and Nobuzo, who are in a difficult situation. Eventually, Harumi becomes a singer at a club on Saburo's advice and gains a great reputation. However, the evil boss kidnaps Harumi and Saburo. Finally, Kenji explodes with anger and rides into the enemy territory to rescue them, and his iron fist explodes. Songs, love, and friendship burst forth on the sea and in the harbor. With its lively rhythm and fast tempo, this is a great modern coming-of-age film by Misora Hibari, who graced the golden age of entertainment films in the first half of the 1960s.

There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

HD DVD

HD DVDs titles are playable only on HD DVD players. They are not playalbe on conventional DVD players or Blu-ray players. Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.

SACD (Super Audio CD)
