Description

[Machine Translation] In this humorous and fast-paced historical drama, Kotaro Satomi, Ryotaro Otomo, Nobuo Kaneko, and Ryohei Uchida play ex-pirates who decide to attack a magistrate's office in a foolhardy and reckless manner. In addition to Kansuke, who is a military strategist, they include a fake doctor named Michihaku, a womanizer named Tanjiro, a pickpocket named Sutekichi, a samurai hater named Kagenta, Tameshichi and Kichizo, and Sakichi's sister Okoma, who died while exiled to the island and has since been replaced. Together with his old friends, Kansuke wanted to celebrate the seventh anniversary of the death of Kawachiya Zen'emon, a shipping agent who had protected them during their pirate days. Zen'emon, who had once been a pioneer in waterway development, was executed as a pirate by Shokan Matsudaira, the East Town Magistrate, who was after his vast fortune, and many of his interests were taken away by the shipping agents who were in league with Shokan. Kansuke's target was the legacy of Kawachiya, which was stored in the gold storehouse of the magistrate's office, to finance his legal action. Thus began the preparation of a bizarre plan to break into the magistrate's office and commit a robbery! Kotaro Satomi plays the brilliant Tanjiro, and Ryutaro Otomo gives an excellent performance as the evil Genta, who mercilessly defeats the magistrate's lieutenants. In addition, a cast of rich personalities including Nobuo Kaneko, Ryohei Uchida, Haruo Tanaka, Hyosuke Kobe, Kogingo Ichikawa, and Hiroko Sakuramachi showcase their exquisite teamwork.

里見浩太郎、大友柳太朗、金子信雄、内田良平ら豪華演技陣が元海賊という悪党に扮して、無謀ともいえる奉行所襲撃を決行するまでを、ユーモラスかつスピーディに描いた痛快娯楽時代劇。7年前まで海賊だった公事宿「碇屋」の亭主・勘助が、突如昔の仲間を集め始めた。軍師である勘助の他、集まったのはニセ医者の道伯、女たらしの丹次郎、スリ渡世の捨吉、侍嫌いの悪源太、そして為七に吉蔵、島流しの途中で死んだ佐吉に代わって現れた妹・お駒。勘助は昔の仲間と共に、海賊時代に自分達を守ってくれた、廻船問屋河内屋善右衛門の七回忌を盛大に執り行いたかったのだ。かつて、水路開発で皆から慕われていた善右衛門は、彼の莫大な財産を狙う東町奉行・松平将監によって、海賊の張本人として処刑され、多くの利権を将監と手を組む廻船問屋達によって奪い取られてしまったのだった。勘助が法事の資金として狙ったのは、その奉行所の金蔵に収められた、河内屋の遺産。こうして、奉行所に押し込み強盗をかける奇想天外な計画の準備が始まった! 里見浩太郎がハマリ役の丹次郎に扮するほか、大友柳太朗が奉行所の同心を容赦なく成敗する悪源太役を好演。さらに、金子信雄や内田良平、田中春男、神戸瓢介、市川小金吾、桜町弘子ら個性豊かなキャストが顔を揃えて、絶妙なチームワークを披露。
