Description
[Machine Translation] Like tofu, which is made with only soybeans, water, and bittern, people's happiness is found in their simple, everyday lives. This film, set in Onomichi, is a story of a father and daughter, depicting the lives of Tatsuo Takano (Tatsuya Fuji), an honest and craftsman-like father, and his cheerful and good-natured daughter, Haru (Kumiko Aso). Starring Tatsuya Fuji, a famous actor celebrating his 60th anniversary. This is his third collaboration with director Mitsuhiro Mihara. The role of Haru is played by Kumiko Aso, who has become one of the most popular actresses in Japanese cinema with her roles in "Kanzo Sensei" (1998) and "Yunagi City, Sakura Country" (2007). This is her first collaboration with Tatsuya Fuji in 26 years. Veteran actress Kumi Nakamura, who played impressive female roles in such films as "The Last Trust" ('12) and "Maiko is Lady" ('14), plays Fumie, a woman with whom Tatsuo has a chance encounter and with whom he has a chance chance encounter. The plan seems to be a success when they have dinner with an Italian chef (Katsuya Kobayashi), whom Tatsuo and his friends have chosen. The man is Michio ( Katsura Yamato ), who works at a supermarket in the station where the Koya Tofu store delivers its products. Tatsuo is not satisfied and gets into an argument with Haru, and Haru leaves home. Then, Fumie (Kumi Nakamura), who works as a cleaner at the supermarket, comes to visit the Takano Tofu Shop. What lies ahead for father and daughter in their daily life of making tofu?

大豆と"水"と"にがり"だけでコツコツ作られる豆腐のように、淡々とした日々の生活にこそ人々のしあわせがある。この映画は、尾道を舞台に、愚直で職人気質の父・高野辰雄(藤竜也)と、明るく気立てのいい娘・春(麻生久美子)の人生を描いた、父と娘の物語。主演は、デビュー60周年を迎えた名優・藤竜也。三原光尋監督とは三度目のタッグとなる。春役は、『カンゾー先生』(98)、『夕凪の街 桜の国』(07)などで、日本映画の代表的女優となった麻生久美子が好演。藤竜也とは実に26年ぶりの共演となる。また、辰雄と偶然の出会いを経て心を通わせる婦人・ふみえ役に『終の信託』(12)、『舞妓はレディ』(14)などで印象的な女性を演じたベテラン・中村久美。さらに辰雄の気の知れた仲間たちに徳井優・菅原大吉・山田雅人・竹内都子など、個性豊かなベテラン勢が顔を揃える。 父と娘のそれぞれの新たな出会いが、尾道の春風とともに、胸いっぱいのやさしさと、あたたかい涙を運んでくる。――尾道の風情ある下町。その一角に店を構える高野豆腐店。父の辰雄(藤竜也)と娘の春(麻生久美子)は、毎日、陽が昇る前に工場に入り、こだわりの大豆からおいしい豆腐を二人三脚で作っている。ある日、もともと患っている心臓の具合が良くないことを医師に告げられた辰雄は、出戻りのひとり娘・春のことを心配して、昔ながらの仲間たち──理髪店の繁(徳井優)、定食屋の一歩(菅原大吉)、タクシー運転手の健介(山田雅人)、英語講師の寛太(日向丈)に協力してもらい、春の再婚相手を探すため、本人には内緒でお見合い作戦を企てる。辰雄たちが選んだイタリアンシェフ(小林且弥)と食事をすることになり、作戦は成功したようにみえたが、実は、春には交際している人がすでにいた。相手は、高野豆腐店の納品先、駅ナカのスーパーで働く道夫(桂やまと)だった。納得のいかない辰雄は春と口論になり、春は家を出ていってしまう。そんななか、とある偶然が重なり言葉をかわすようになったスーパーの清掃員として働くふみえ(中村久美)が、高野豆腐店を訪ねてくる。豆腐を作る日々のなか訪れた、父と娘それぞれにとっての新しい出会いの先にあるものは──。
