Description

[Machine Translation] Extreme suspense entertainment starring Hyun Bin that depicts on an epic scale the other side of a historical incident that shook Asia. Ahn Jung-geun is played by Hyun Bin, one of Korea's leading actors. Hyun Bin, who can handle a wide range of roles from ultra-hard action to sweet melodrama, takes on the challenge of portraying An Jung-geun, a lone man who risks his life for the independence of his country, and presents a new charismatic image of An Jung-geun. The film also features a star-studded cast including Park Jung-min, Cho Woo-jin, Jung Yo-bin, Lee Dong-wook, and Jung Woo-sung, as well as Lily Franky as Hirobumi Ito from Japan. Directed by Woo Min-ho, a hit maker of contemporary Korean history. The cinematography is by Hong Kyung-pyo. The film captivates audiences with its stunning visual beauty that pursues realism and intensity. In October 1909, An Jung-geun and his comrades headed for Harbin, China, to fulfill a mission in pursuit of Ito Hirobumi. 1908, at Mount Sinasan in North Hamgyeong Province, the Korean Imperial Army led by An Jung-geun (Hyun-bin) fought bravely despite the odds and won a victory against the Japanese army. An Jung-geun insisted on releasing the prisoners of war in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, but Lee Chang-seop ( Lee Dong-wook ) vehemently refuted his claim. In the end, he leaves the scene with his own troops. Later, An Jung-geun is attacked by the Japanese army after receiving information from the escaped POWs, and loses all his men. In October 1909, An Jung-geun received information that Japanese politician Hirobumi Ito ( Lily Franky ) was on his way to Harbin from Dalian. Convinced that the only thing he can do for his dead comrades is to eliminate the "old wolf" who trampled on his country's independence, he boards a train bound for Dalian with Woo Duk-soon (Park Jung-min) and Kim Sang-hyun (Cho Woo-jin), but the Japanese military detects them. --The film is a short film about the making of the film.
