Description

Based on the debut novel "Bad Summer" by Tamehito Somei, winner of the 37th Yokomizo Seishi Mystery Award for Excellence. Directed by Hideo Josada, a genius who has created many masterpieces. The screenplay is by Kosuke Mukai, who won the Best Screenplay Award at the Japan Academy Prize for "A Certain Man. --Mamoru Sasaki (Takumi Kitamura), who works in the welfare department of the city office, is asked by his colleague Miyata (Marika Ito) to help him get to the bottom of a case in which Takano (Katsuya Maikuma), a senior worker at the office, is forcing a female welfare recipient into a physical relationship. The serious and timid Sasaki finds Miyata's request troublesome, but is unable to refuse, and visits the woman, Aimi ( Yumi Kawai ), a single mother on the verge of abandonment. Aimi denies any relationship with Takano, but in fact, together with Kanemoto ( Masataka Kubota ), a resident of the underworld, his mistress Rika ( Yumena Yanai ), and her underling Yamada ( Pistol Takehara ), she is trying to be a part of a criminal scheme. Unaware of this, Sasaki gradually becomes attracted to Aimi. SACD (Super Audio CD)
