Description

[Machine Translation] The Moonriders, Japan's premier rock band, will release "LIVE 2020 NAKANO SUNPLAZA," a complete recording of their highly acclaimed "MOONRIDERS LIVE 2020" on the night of the full moon, October 31, 2020 (Saturday), which marks their 45th anniversary this year. In November 2011, the 35th anniversary of their debut, Moonriders announced an indefinite hiatus. In 2013, on the first anniversary of their member Tetsuro Kashibuchi's death, the group returned for a one-night-only performance. In 2016, their 40th anniversary, the band announced a limited time "hiatus" and went on hiatus again after performing at summer festivals and going on a live house tour. Four years later, in August 2020, they surprised their fans by suddenly holding a no-show live concert to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the release of their album "Camera = Fountain Pen". This time, they held a live concert in August 2020 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of their album "Camera=Mannen" and surprised their fans. Moreover, Nakano Sunplaza, the venue of the concert, was the last place where Tetsuro Kashibuchi performed with the Moonriders before they went on hiatus on December 17, 2011. It was also the venue where the "Last Feast" was held during the "Inactive Hiatus" period in 2016, making it a sacred place for Moonriders fans. This is a monumental release that includes all of the live performance that took place at a special place and on a special night with a full moon.

今年デビュー45周年を迎えた、日本が誇る至高のロックバンド・ムーンライダーズが2020年10月31日(土)の"満月"の夜に行い評判を呼んだ＜MOONRIDERS LIVE 2020＞を完全収録した「LIVE 2020 NAKANO SUNPLAZA」が、リリースされる。ムーンライダーズはデビュー35周年にあたる2011年11月、無期限の活動休止を発表。その後、メンバーのかしぶち哲郎の1周忌にあたる2013年に一夜限りの復活。さらに40周年の2016年、期間限定で"活動休止の休止"を宣言し夏フェス出演とライブハウス・ツアーを経て再び"活動休止"。それから4年。2020年8月にアルバム『カメラ=万年筆』リリース40周年を記念し突如、無観客ライブを開催しファンを驚かせた。今回リリースされる＜MOONRIDERS LIVE 2020＞は、4年ぶりの有観客ライブにあたり、"活動休止の休止"つまり"活動再開"。しかも会場となった中野サンプラザは、2011年12月17日に活動休止に入る最後のコンサート会場で、かしぶち哲郎がムーンライダーズと共に演奏した最後の場所。さらに2016年の"活動休止の休止"期に"最後の饗宴"が行われた会場でもあり、ムーンライダーズ・ファンにとっては聖地。特別な場所、そして満月の夜というスペシャルな一夜に展開されたLIVEを余すところなく収録した、まさに記念碑的なリリースとなる。
