Description

[Machine Translation] The main character, Tamotsu Nishihata, has grown up without the ability to read or write due to his harsh childhood. The touching story of Tamotsu, who diligently attended night junior high school and learned to write from scratch, has been covered by various media and has even spread to the point of becoming a creative rakugo story. Director Renpei Tsukamoto was deeply moved by Tamotsu's love letter and was eager to make a film about it. To the surprise of Tamotsu himself, a live-action film version was made with a splendid cast. Tamotsu Nishihata is played by national star Shofukutei Tsurube. Tomoyo Harada, who has been active at the forefront since her debut film "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" in 1983, plays the role of Shiroko. The two young Tamotsu and Shiroko are played by Daiki Shigeoka and Mone Kamihiraishi, who have been active at the forefront since their debut film "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" in 1983. Their realistic and passionate performances carefully and passionately portray their paths from their first encounter to their marriage, and after their marriage, when the secret of Tamotsu's inability to read and write is revealed.
