Description

Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the TV anime and the 25th anniversary of the theatrical release, the landmark SF fantasy anime "The Vision of Escaflowne" arrives in a single Blu-ray BOX. A young girl sets off on a journey to another world of love and adventure. The director is Kazuki Akane, who also directed the "Code Geass: Akito the Exiled" series. Shoji Kawamori, known for numerous works including the "Macross" series, serves as original creator, supervisor, and series composition. Music is provided by Yoko Kanno ("Cowboy Bebop," "Macross F") and others. The protagonist Hitomi Kanzaki is voiced by Maaya Sakamoto, celebrating her 30th anniversary as a performer. - Hitomi Kanzaki, a first-year high school student, is an ordinary girl who enjoys fortune-telling. One day, at dusk on the school grounds, she confesses her feelings to a senior she admires, when suddenly a sword-wielding boy named Van and a gigantic dragon appear. As Van struggles against the dragon, Hitomi warns him of danger based on a vision she sees and saves him. Immediately afterward, the two are swallowed by a suddenly appearing pillar of light and are transported to the planet Gaea. Includes all 26 TV anime episodes plus one theatrical film. Video bonuses include the theatrical trailer and the North American promotional video (both identical to those included on BCXA-18). Includes a special booklet. Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
