[Machine Translation] The legendary masterpiece "Rurouni Kenshin - Meiji Swordsman Romantic Tan", which has sold a total of 72 million copies of the comic series and earned 19.3 billion yen at the box office for the live-action film series, will be broadcast as a new TV animation series with a new staff and cast in July 2023 for a total of 24 episodes in the first season, The second season "Kyoto Disturbance" will be broadcast from October 2024. DVD Volume 1 is on sale. The original story by Nobuhiro Watsuki was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1994, and became the first TV animation in 1996. The series has since been adapted into numerous OVAs and movies, and is currently being serialized in "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story - Hokkaido Arc" in "JUMP SQ. For the second season, director Yuki Komada ("MUGEN NO NINJIN-IMMORTAL/assistant director") was hired to depict more intense battles. Hideyuki Kurata ("Maid in Abyss") will continue to serve as series director. Rurouni Kenshin" marks the 30th anniversary of its serialization. The universal story that never fades away and the characters' fierce beliefs are once again vividly reflected in the new jacket illustration.
