Description

First Blu-ray release from the new TV anime "Fullmetal Alchemist" series, broadcasted in 2009. Based on the manga by Hiroshi Arakawa, the anime's scene is populated by Alchemists who practice the art of manipulating and altering matter to transform objects into other forms. Sacrifice goes with the territory since the laws of alchemy states that altering matter comes at a price equivalent to the magnitude of the transformation. While trying to revive his dead mother by alchemy, the main character Edward Elric loses his right arm and left leg, and his younger brother Alphonse virtually dies, though his soul is contained now in a large robotic suit to keep what's left of him alive. The story follows the two embarking on a quest to find the philosopher's stone to restore everything that they've lost. Includes episode 1 and 2.
