Description

[Machine Translation] This is the fifth film by Shuji Terayama, poet, playwright, and head of the theater laboratory "Ceiling Pier". The film is based almost entirely on Terayama's original work, and spins a tale of love, sorrow, madness, and destruction of prostitutes living in a brothel against the backdrop of overwhelming artwork. In 1920, Sir Stefan, a casino owner in the Shanghai concession, takes "O" to a foreign brothel called "Chun Tao Lou," where there are various kinds of prostitutes. A cruel experiment in love to confirm true love, it accepts all kinds of strangers, but does not betray him. With the prostitutes immersed in a daring sexual euphoria, " O " decides to live here and gives himself over to many men....

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.

SACD (Super Audio CD)
