Description

[Machine Translation] This is the story of the infamous Norse pirate Vikings who ravaged the seas of Europe between the 8th and 10th centuries with their fortresses in the fjords of the Scandinavian peninsula and a string of Viking ships. Directed by Richard Fleischer (Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea) and photographed by Jack Cardiff (The Legend of the Lost Things). Music is by Mario Nassimbene. The beauty of the images of the Viking ships sailing through the actual fjords is a marvel to behold. --The film is about the infamous Viking king Ragnar (Ernest Borgnein), who kills the King of England and steals his queen. The queen gives birth to Ragnar's son, Eric ( Tony Curtis ), who, unaware of his origins, becomes his father's slave. One day, he rebels against his half-brother Einar ( Kirk Douglas ), wounding him in one eye with a hunting hawk. Einar, who is descended from a rough and tumble father, attacks an English ship and plunders Princess Morgana ( Janet Leigh ), but falls in love with the beautiful princess. Eric and Princess Morgana are gradually attracted to each other...

There are 6 region codes. Typically, DVD players sold in one region is compatible only with DVD titles that are encoded for that region.

Blu-ray

Blu-ray titles are playable only on Blu-ray players. They are not playable on conventional DVD players or HD DVD players. There are 3 region codes for Blu-rays as listed below, which are different from DVD region codes.
