Ksz-03 Cheek Brush / KOYUDO Kakishibuzome SeriesMakeup BrushBeautiful and effective
Beautiful brush. The gradient dye is stunning and it feels so luxurious in my hand. It's a versatile cheek brush, just dense enough to pick up product but airy enough to diffuse easily. I particularly love it for targeted bronzer application.

Koyudo SOMELL GARDEN KINOMI SERIES Foundation Brushmakeup brushSolid foundation brush
The Somell series is so lovely with its natural wood handles and this is no different. Soft and dense. Small but does a good job with foundation if you take the time; I like to use it for targeted all-over concealer as a foundation replacement. It can get a little pokey on my under-eyes but I do have sensitive under-eyes - something to consider if you have very sensitive skin.

M-2 Cheek Brush / KOYUDO Makiko SeriesMakeup BrushGood for cream products
Soft brush head but very dense. It doesn't have much splay out and I usually prefer a more airy brush for my cheek products. Where it does shine is with cream product application. I've been using it primarily for concealer and even foundation but I can see it being great for cream contour as well

M-4 Eye Shadow Brush / KOYUDO Makiko SeriesMakeup BrushSurprise favorite
I honestly did not expect to love this brush as much as I do, but it has become my go-to fix-it brush! Whenever I need to smooth a harsh edge or do some very controlled blending, this little brush does the trick. It's very soft on my lid but does a great job moving and blending stubborn patches

M-5 Lip&Eye Liner Brush / KOYUDO Makiko SeriesMakeup BrushDoes the job
Aesthetically pleasing - love the natural wood. Soft enough not to irritate my inner corner even when I use it in a poking manner.

S-3 Eyeshadow Brush/ Eihodo WP SeriesMakeup BrushBetter than I expected
I’ve been on a eye brush kick lately and decided to try this series. I don’t normally buy Sokoho eye brushes. I prefer squirrel but I also like having complete sets so ended up getting it. It’s inexpensive so I figured if it wasn’t great no biggie. Boy was I surprised when it ended to being one of my favorites from the eye set. It’s a larger eye brush that tapers to a pointed tip. That tip makes it easy to reach those corners without the need for a detail brush. For dyed Sokoho it’s softer than I expected as well. No issues with shedding. Washed easily and retains its shape. All in all this is a great little eye brush set for a decent price. Well worth the buy.

CL-120 New "Fude Bijin" Makeup Brush ShampooMakeup Brushdeep clean, not too harsh
Smells as if there is alcohol in this? I don't know, but it's great for removing stains from sponges/puffs and white bristle brushes. Seems gentle enough. The pump is fine but since the consistency is watery, rather than a gel, I think I would have preferred a pointed-nozzle squeeze bottle.

SOMELLGARDEN Cleansing BrushMakeup Brushcleans other things too
Maybe it is a little extra but I use this to dust my laptop. My sensitive skin finds it somewhat too exfoliating/abrasive for daily face washing, but the dual length fibers are perfect for really getting in the individual keypad crevices. Plus, I love having it out on my desk! Aesthetically very pleasing. My laptop has never been so clean. :D

BS-F-01 Finishing Powder Brush / BISYODO Short SeriesMakeup BrushAmazing powder brush!
I’m a huge fan of the Bisyodo long and short series brushes. Not only are they absolutely stunning to look at they all work like a dream. I have yet to disappointed with any of them. I debated over purchasing this finishing brush as I already have several large Saikoho powder brushes and didn’t want to duplicate something I already have. Like all brushes one can only get so much information from a photo and specks. Going by just the brush measurements it was the same size as other brushes I own. I’m so glad I purchased it in the end! While the brush head may be the same size as other powder brushes it’s still very unique in its own way. It starts to layers start to taper almost at the base of the ferrule making it much more versatile than other larger powder brushes. It’s almost angled on one side. The Saikoho used is top notch quality and makes for an extremely soft and fluffy powder brush. Once washed it becomes even softer. This short series totally changed the way I viewed short handled brushes. I used to avoid them and now I have become obsessed with them. You can’t go wrong with any of the brushes from Bisyodo and this one was no exception.

Chikuhodo GS-T Powder/CheekMakeup BrushSurprise love
I'm surprised at how soft this is - not the softest ever but definitely softer than I was expecting. Just a little less soft than the Bisyodo "long series" dyed goat, for example. Maybe I got a fluke extra-soft batch? Anyway, I'm very happy with it - a really versatile, useful brush. Dense enough for some buffing (though maybe not heavy application?), feathery enough for a light dusting. Travels well and fluffs easily when removed from a brush net/guard. Love it!

G-S2 Flat Eye Shadow Brush / Houkodou SORA Brilliant Gold SeriesMakeup BrushFor all eye shape, all skin types.
If you were to ask for recommendations on what to buy from Houkodou line, I would definitely recommend this one as my first pick. This would be great for all eye shape, all skin types.

The brush feels sooo soft. It never tugs nor irritates my eyes for which i'm grateful. You can't go wrong with Pink Pearl shadow brush line.

LQ-3 Liquid Foundation Brush / Eihodo WP SeriesMakeup BrushAll about the hair
Didn't like the bundeling at all, but you can't go wrong with weasel hair : soft and sturdy, so I still like it for liquid products but would have picked the chikuhodo equivalent as it seems better crafted (at least from what I've seen)

GS-1 Eyeshadow Brush L/ Eihodo G SeriesMakeup BrushLovely all in one
Soft, plush brush excellent for swipe and done looks, nicely crafted, the hair is really soft and pleasent
-
Ksz-02 Powder Brush Round / KOYUDO Kakishibuzome SeriesMakeup BrushPlush and soft
A dense, plush brush excellent for finishing powders and bronzers. It's nicely bundled. It's supposedly saikoho and indeed it is soft and gentle on the face but the tips have some grip which can be a plus for hard pressed powders
-
CH-C Cheek Brush (Round Flat) / Uyeda Bisyodo Cheri SeriesMakeup BrushNice to have
Love the multitasker shape suitable for blush, bronzer and powders, it's nicely crafted and sturdy, sokoho hair is less soft, of course, but it is not unpleasent on the face and price is quite reasonable.

Chikuhodo GS-T Powder/CheekMakeup BrushNot as soft as I expected
This brush is adorable! I love the shape and size. It is beautiful to put on your vanity.Nice to get a lot of surface area for the face but It as not super soft. For comparison,I have a eihodo and Koyudo dyed goat hair brushes that are noticeably softer. However, because of that I am not so worried about ruining it because of it being too delicate. It short. It’s good but not great.
