Bandoru! -Band de Idol Shiyoze- [Antic Cafe Limited Edition]Antic CafeNew song from An Cafe after 5 years. The CD includes "Fly Again" which is An Cafe's first song in 5 years. The band went on hiatus in January 2019. There was a 20th anniversary reunion that resulted in 2 sold-out performances at Zepp Haneda in January 2023, as well as additional sold-out shows in August 2023 on Spotify O-EAST ( Tokyo) and Osaka BIGCAT (Osaka). The music is very good and the CD booklet features photos of the shows held in August. Furthermore, the CD features a story narrated in the form of a drama in which vocalist Miku makes his debut as a voice actor in the character Kira Seiya.

izora [SHM-CD] [Regular Edition]BUCK-TICKSurprising, mature, and very touching"Izora" is a very surprising album for sure. It subverted my initial expectations that I have got while listening to the singles which preceded its release. This album feels very mature both in its lyrics and sound. Also, it has a strong Sakurai vibe, since he's written the lyrics to all of the songs, except one, namely The Falling Down, that was written by Imai. Having both light-sounding and heavy-sounding songs, Izora generally creates the impression that the band has returned to their more gothic sound with electronic flavour. Moreover, the variety of the songs is quite impressive as well, since some of the melodies are more cheerful and calm, and others are dynamic and/or possess this eerie unsettling beauty typical for Buck-Tick. And sometimes it's a mixture of both: Campanella -Hanataba o Kimi ni- is a song with a lively melody and terrifying lyrics. It's definitely an interesting experiment that leaves a strong impression. I would say that this album perfectly balances dark and light. It has songs with lyrics that are touching the topic of the war in Ukraine or have the anti-war message in general, presenting a picture that has lots of tragedy but also glimpses of hope, which I, as Ukrainian, appreciate greatly. But it also has songs that are very soothing, nostalgic, and convey an optimistic message. I particularly enjoy the overall multilayeredness of the sound, it definitely reflects B-T's maturity and experience as a band. However, I feel like the album lacks dynamic and sags a little bit in the middle and the second part. In conclusion, the album may not have that many catchy songs that'll become the universally loved hits, but it has something important to say and provide the listeners with diverse and rich musical experience, encouraging them to reflect on life. In my opinion, the best songs are Scarecrow, Ai no Harem, Hizumi, Namonaki Watashi, Walkure no Kikou, and The Falling Down.

13kai wa Gekko [Regular Edition]BUCK-TICKBrilliant. Incredible. Amazing.“13kai wa Gekkou” is undoubtedly my favourite Buck-Tick album. It is goth to its core in the best sense of the word. Everything about it is just perfect: gothic aesthetic, captivating sound, and absolutely enchanting lyrics. Each song is a unique masterpiece that has something new to offer, nevertheless, all of the songs possess the compositional unity in relation to both their sound and lyrics which make the album exceptionally cohesive. There is not a single mediocre song on this album, which is quite impressive and rare, since I'm a picky listener. My favourite songs are Ijin no Yoru, Doukeshi A, Cabaret, Alive, Muma the Nightmare, Gessyoku, Kourin, and Passion.

Vampire Chronicle - V-Best Selection Vol.2 - [2CD+2DVD / Limited Edition]DA beautiful release in a big boxIf you're a D fan - you must have this limited edition in your collection. The box contains 2 CD's and 2 DVD's - very neatly packed. There is also a hardcover photobook inside. The photos are large and on great, chalky paper. As I mentioned ealier, the release is on 4 discs. Two of them are D's greatest hits about vampire stories. So here we have a mix from the most famous and newer songs, to the lesser known and older ones. Two additional DVD's are a recording of the concert from 2018 at Shinagawa Intercity Hall promoting the single "Narrow Escape". The setlist ranges from classics such as "Yami Yori Kurai..." to "Haru No Utage" and lesser known "Dandelion". The live band is great. ASAGI's voice sounds flawless. And the rest of the band plays the instruments very well. The downside of the concert is the lack of 'making-off', because I like to watch the guys from behind the scenes.

Union [Type B]RAZORA bit oddI couldn't buy this digitally and it's barely advertised on their site. Either way been listening since the days of BORN and while this isn't Ryoga's best work, it's certainly worth adding to the collection. Union is the best song on this. The Six Monster is okay. Jesus Jesus is more heavy than the other two. Nothing special. Unfortunately all 3 songs are a HUGE step down from Parasite Invisible and Countdown. Still happy to own it though.
