Matchy BestMasahiko KondoMatchy Best
25 years in the business and still going strong. This album will prove to you just why. This album is a shorter version of Matchy's other BEST hits album. However non of the best hits are missing here. It's great listening and dancing music.

Katamari Damacy Soundtrack "Katamari Fortissimo Damacy"Game MusicGood...
While I liked the album, I didn't think of it as quite great. Sure the cd has a song for everyone, none of the song paticuarly seem to do it for me. I would suggest it, but it could have used some improvement.

welcome-muzikKohmi HiroseAnother fabulous album !!
I was unable to find this album for a while, and now my collection of Kohmi-chan's releases is nearly complete - yes I am BIG fan. The album opens with a fantastic tune (Showtime), and the best part is the (black?) female chorus - it really has a southern American gospel sound, and I wish she would do more like this. 'Mafuyu no Kaerimichi' is another typical up-beat number with her trademark catchy chorus. There is another version of 'Dear' from the 'Success Story' album, and I prefer the older one (because of the female chorus again), however this new version is still a very beautiful song with a haunting story. The rest of the album is a mixture of slower and up-tempo numbers, except for a throw-away live track that really spoils my overll impression. This is a fine album, but I still prefer the albums released before this to what has been released more recently though.

FOXTROTNanase AikawaNanase Rocks!
Nanase has a hard rocking voice and attitude that make her albums some of the best in jpop/rock. You CANNOT go wrong with this album. If you're looking for great japanese rock and roll you've found it with Nanase. If it was possible I'd give this album more than five stars, it's that good.

PuranaNanase AikawaThe Best Nanase Album to date
This is my personal favorite of Nanase's albums. It contains some of her BEST rock tracks including Seven Seas, Midnight Blue, No Future and ~dandelion~. Do NOT pass this album up, you won't regret it!

Seishunka nenkan 1974 BEST 30V.A.Seushunka Nenkan 1974 Best 30
Excellent. Highly recommended for those who crave a trip down memory lane. Has all those hits from 1974, some of which I'd forgotten.

We Love Katamari- Original Soundtrack: Katamari wa DamacyGame MusicKatamari fun
Having played the game right through, the songs have seeped into my conciousness to the extent that whenever I play the album, I am reminded of the levels that I have heard the music! Nevertheless, if you haven't played the game, this is a fantastic collection of odd-ball songs from a wide range of music genres. Listen to it and let the amazing music sink in!

The Last LivePrincess PrincessFun performance
Aside from the camera-work and all that, this concert is fun to watch. It was filmed at their final performance before disbanding. I was able to attend a concert of theirs two nights prior to this performance. This is a good concert and includes all their popular songs. Unfortunately, some of their best songs were clumped into a "medly" which means you only maybe hear a few measures of each of those songs. On the other hand, this DVD includes the entire concert from beginning to end (no editing or deleting was done!) The only other unfavorable thing I'd have to say about it is that there is a considerable amount of talking between songs (mostly by the lead singer, but also the other band members). But overall, it is a good performance and well worth watching. It holds many fond memories for me because I was lucky enough to see them in concert.

Shitsujitu Goken at Budokan 1994Princess PrincessFantastic performance!!!
I became a devoted Princess Princess fan purely because of this DVD!!! I think this DVD is very well done. The camera work is excellent, and the band's performance is perfect! I first bought this concert when it was released on VHS, and when I learned that it had been released on DVD, I had to have it. The performance in this concert is an excellent example of the band's variety of musical styles and energy. It features most of their popular songs but also includes some of the material from their "Majestic" cd (which was released shortly before this performance was filmed). If you're going to get ANY DVD of this group, you've got to get this one. It is by far one of the BEST performances I've ever seen!!! And two years after I bought the VHS of this concert, I had the privilege of going to Japan to see Pri2 during their "Final" concerts at the famous "Budokan" in Tokyo. They're a great band to see live and on DVD! This concert ROCKS! I love 'em!

Katamari Damacy Soundtrack "Katamari Fortissimo Damacy"Game MusicWanda Wanda
The moment when I caught myself humming one of the tunes from this quirky innovative videogame Katamary Damacy, I knew that I must have the soundtrack. Namco has done a superb job in making sure that the sound is high quality. It brings all kinds of music genres to the table: Bossa Nova, French Pop, Trance, JPOP, the works. The soundtrack is a must have for anyone who loves to collect videogame soundtracks. It would make a fabulous edition to your collection!

R.U.O.K?!Nanase AikawaNanase <3
I loved this mini-album! The band lineup brings a great new rock vibe to Aikawa Nanase's style of music. There wasn't one song on this CD that I didn't like. It's perfect for any Aikawa Nanase fan. Go buy it now! :D!

Katamari Damacy Soundtrack "Katamari Fortissimo Damacy"Game MusicGood but stereotypical Shibuya-kei
This covers the full extent of the style from the beats and bizarre horn solo in 'katamari mambo' which are just as good as Cibo Matto, an epic strings & acoustic guitar song suspiciously similar to the Billy Hatcher theme, to one in English by a Frank Sinatra sound-a-like, the glam-rockish 'Ai no Katamari' and much else in between. There's a song here for every decade since the 50s but they somehow all fall under the Shibuya-kei umbrella. Favourites are LONELY ROLLING STAR (electro-pop with amusingly random lyrics) and the really quite magical instrumentals, reminiscent of (and as good as) Takako Minekawa. On the other hand, the songs with synthesised vocals can get somewhat annoying. So overall, though I have very few problems with the quality of this album and the length makes it relatively good value (it's over 70 minutes in total and most of the vocal songs are over 5 minutes) it's all been done 10 years before by bands like Cibo Matto and Pizzicato Five and so existing fans of Shibuya-kei and swing will find little very new for them here.

R.U.O.K?!Nanase AikawaGood album and new style
long-waited Aikawa album for 10th year anniversary was finally released! all the songs are beautiful, though they're quite different from Nanase ordinary style, but I love it anyway!!! maybe I preferred she waited a bit longer to release a more elaborated album but the released was forced by the anniversary...I don't mind however. Good album but I think it is not better than others (7 seven is still the best album in my opinion).

Everybody Goes [Limited Release]Nanase AikawaEVERYBODY GOES
I waited so much this limited edition single from my beloved Nanase. The english version is great but I still prefer the original japanese one. DVD contains the PV for the song and interviews to all band members (and Nanase of course =P) recommended!

We Love Katamari- Original Soundtrack: Katamari wa DamacyGame MusicKatamari 2
Minna Daisuki Katamari is the sequal to Katamari Damacy. Just like the earlier game, this one features an awesome soundtrack that features many different kinds of music, by many talented artists. While this CD may never live up to the 1st ones reputation, the soundtrack for the sequal is worth a listen. Pop, techno, orchestra, ballads, they are all here in one place. There's something for nearly every taste here.

Bokoku no Aegis (English Subtitles)Japanese MovieBokoku no Aegis
I ordered this film a) because of my love of Sanada-san as actor (beyond excellent!)and b) because I thought there was little chance of 'Aegis' making the UK box office. It is a fantastic film. Thankfully there isn't a select button for a dubbed English version - it's subtittled for those of you whos knowledge of Japanese is limited to the formalities of introduction and so forth just like my own; so you get the true sense of every actor and their emotional input. Sanada-san as always out does himself. It's as glorious as any Hollywood action/SFX movie - actually it's better than a lot of Hollywood so called blockbuster movies!!! Japanese film making at it's best. Highly recommend it if you like no stop action but warning it's not a chick flick girls even if though it has a HIRO - hee hee.

THE HIT PARADE (incl. "Minato no Yoko Yokohama Yokosuka - Another Version")TAK MATSUMOTO (B'z)Great!!

Sotsugyo albumGagaga SPJapanese Punk with a cool twist!
Cool music. From the well recognised Gagaga SP this is one of thier earlier albums. I enjoyed the alternative version of Sotsugyo on this album which is not the same version of the song as is on the single. Great punky music, plenty of guitar and drums. Nice alternative stuff!
