江戸川乱歩の推理小説「少年探偵団」シリーズが新たに4代目小林少年を主人公にしたオリジナルストーリーで実写映画化! 主要キャラクターである小林少年、明智小五郎、怪人二十面相それぞれの子孫たちが代々、世代を超えて激突を繰り返すという基本コンセプトを元に、現代を舞台にした新感覚の学園ミステリーとして、『超・少年探偵団NEO』活動開始にいたるまでの"はじまりの物語"。仮面ライダー鎧武に出演した高杉真宙と佐野岳が5年ぶりに共演し、アクションにも挑む。怪人二十面相のデザインは日本を代表するイラストレーターの天野喜孝が担い、声優として二十面相を演じているのは声優業だけではなく、アーティストやラジオパーソナリティーとしても活躍中の声優界のレジェンド神谷浩史。これまでとは一線を画した新世紀にふさわしい、新たなる『少年探偵団』が誕生する。
