Kazemachi Jet / SpicaMaaya SakamotoKazemachi Jet / SpicaA energetic single by Maaya, it lacks the depth of singles like Hemispere and Gravity, but has lots of energy, fittingly it reminds me of her Platina single. My intial impression was a little ambivalent but both songs have grown on me. As usual Maaya sounds beautiful, especially in Spica. The arrangement of Kazemachi jet is perhaps a little too busy but that is all the critique that comes to mind. I think many fans of Maaya are perhaps missing Kanno's input but although I would like to see a Maaya/Kanno collaboration soon, these past releases have been a good opportunity for Maaya to stretch out on her own, there has been a stronger impression of Maaya's personality recently. Overall these songs sound great, a bit of Apop to brighten up your day.

Sorega Aideshou / Kimi ni Fuku KazeMikuni ShimokawaSorega Aideshou / Kimi ni Fuku KazeI got this because I loved the opening and closing sequences in Fumoffu. Fantastic songs, in fact my favorites by Mikuni. Sorega Aideshou is a brilliant track, well written by Mikuni, and well performed, and Kimini fuku kaze is really cute! If I wanted to nitpick I would say that I like the full length version of Are Kara more than this single version but really all three tracks are wonderful.

COWBOY BEBOP Tank! THE! BEST!Yoko Kanno & SeatbeltsTank! THE! BEST!Must have been tough to summarise Bebop in only 12 tracks. Rockin' songs, Illaria Graziano is glorious, and it wouldn't be a Bebop album without Mai Yamane and Steve Conte. How could you fault Yoko Kanno coolest soundtrack?

Yunagi Loop [w/ CD-ROM, Limited Edition]Maaya SakamotoYuunagi LOOPMy absolute favorite album by Maaya. Beautiful from start to finish. A lighter, dreamy feeling album compared to Shounen Alice. Well written songs (I love "Hello"). Maaya does well in her first album without Kanno. Needless to say a must buy for Maaya's fans and a good first album for anyone interested in her works. An easy listening delight.
