Aki Hoshino [Calendar 2009 (Try-X Ltd.)]Aki HoshinoAngel of Japan
If you're a fan of Hoshino-san then I don't need to tell you that this calendar is a must. It's a huge poster-sized tear off calendar with 2 months per image. The picture quality is fantastic just like Aki herself.

Rina Akiyama [Calendar 2009 (Try-X Ltd.)]Rina AkiyamaBeautiful Hip!
The Oishiri queen is beautifully and tastefully displayed in this poster-sized tear-off bi-monthly calendar. If you're already a fan of Akiyama-san then this is a must. If you're a lover of Japanese Idols and plentiful posteriors then this calendar is for you.

Heibon Ponch Deluxe EditionJapanese MovieGood Movie... I think...
Okay, please read the product description before buying this product. Where it says that there are NO SUBTITLES it's being completely serious. I had hoped that this was not the case and purchased anyway because a)Akiyama-san is in it and b) it looked like a perfectly strange film. That said: If you can understand enough Japanese to get by or if you're a fan of Eye-candy movies where the plot doesn't matter to you then this film is worth getting. It's full of strangeness that I've come to expect from Japanese films as well as bright colors and pretty girls. I only understand a bit of Japanese so I really didn't get a lot of what was going on, but it was still very fun to watch. I hope that helps in your decision to get the movie or not, and if you're still contemplating then just go look up some pictures of Rina Akiyama and I'm sure you'll decide to get it, LOL.

strip me? [CD+DVD]Anna TsuchiyaI would!
This album is FANTASTIC! Anna Tsuchiya is simply amazing. Her voice is a perfect mix of strength and power with a smooth and soft finish and a touch of a very sexy rasp that can't be matched. In "Strip Me?" there are several great songs: Rose (probably her most well known) is a very well crafted rock song with powerful lyrics. True Colors is just about the best cover I've ever heard. Anna's taken the classic Cyndi Lauper tune and made it totally her own. A perfect homage. Slap That Naughty Body is an instant favorite with it's unexpected dance-pop beat. Jane is just a beautiful song. Musically and vocally it's very catchy and light-hearted. Forever, if this song doesn't pull at your heart strings then you aren't human! All in all it's jsut a great album. If you aren't already an Anna fan, listen to this and you certainly will be.

Change your lifeAnna TsuchiyaLove for Anna
Another score for Anna. This 4 track cd won't disappoint. The title track is great. It's one of those songs where you feel like it's being sung to you. Anna's voice is so honest you can't help but love it. There's also an alternate version, not really a remix of the song which I kind of like more than the original. The other two songs are really pretty. Every Moment is very reminiscent of Cyndi Lauper's acoustic works. If nothing else, buy it for the cover art!

Slap That Naughty Body/My FateAnna TsuchiyaSlap It!!!
Slap That Naughty Body... The title isn't deceptive. This song is as saucy as the title. Beyond that it's a great example of why Anna is such a good artist. Her voice is very powerful and she uses it here to her fullest. Very few people can yell in key and she does it with perfection. The song is not typical Anna, but it certainly is one that will get stuck in your head, and not in a bad way. Blue Moon is a nice soft song, again putting Anna's strength on display. My fate is another easy listen with a great mix of chunky guitar riffs, strong lyrics but a soft feeling that puts her voice right in to your soul. Unfortunately, unlike the previous reviewer my copy did not come with a poster or any extras, but who needs extras when you've got that beautiful voice singing to you?

rose [CD+DVD]ANNA inspi' NANA (BLACK STONES)Lovin it
If you're looking at this CD you probably already know Anna Tsuchiya. Her strong voice that is a powerful contrast to her small and gorgeous appearance. Her ability to be hard-rock and traverse in to pop and dance. Her amazing command over English even though she doesn't speak it fluently. If you already know all of that, and maybe even already have the songs that are on this CD then do what I did... Buy it for the DVD. Yup, I bought this for the sole purpose of having a dvd copy of the video for "Rose." One of my favorite Anna Tsuchiya mv's. She looks absolutely amazing in it, and there's something that adds to the power of the song in watching her sing it. And, if you didn't already know any of that, now you do!

Lucy [CD+DVD]Anna Tsuchiya inspi' Nana (Black Stones)Dance with Anna
Another one of Anna Tsuchiya's great songs inspired by Nana. Lucy is a great rock song with that bit of pop flare. Anna's voice is straight up in this one, a head on punk-girl-rock song perfectly executed. Somehow the next song, "Better Day" is almost "adult-contemporary" and just as good. "Dance with Me" is last. It has a mid to late 90's Janet Jackson feel, but in a good way. Again, it shouldn't make sense (after the toughness of the first track) but it does. And this is one more reason to love Anna if you don't already.

anna 3Anna TsuchiyaKawaii!!!
If you're enamored with Anna you have to get this. It's a "day-in-the-life" type of thing with interviews and photo shoot type scenes. This is from 2004, the start of Anna's music career maybe even before, so it focuses on her modeling and not really on her band or songs. There are no subs, but even with my limited Japanese language skills I enjoyed watching Anna just be Anna. Cute as can be!

Teste My BeatAnna TsuchiyaTaste Her Beat
I can't say enough about Anna Tsuchiya. She really is something, and you can hear it on this mini-album. Ah Ah is a great song. A really chunky guitar riff contrasts the lyrics both in content and in sound. Taste My Skin is a big favorite of mine. It's nearly indescribable. Something like a rock-dance song. Again, Anna's voice wins out on this one as during the verse it's soft and smokey and in the chorus it's strong and hard. There are 4 other songs, all great in their own right. If you're new or curious about Anna Tsuchiya then this cd is a great starter.
