Review by John

A lovely rendition of the deluxe edition! The entire double album plus the demos, now in your hands on SHM-CD! It's an affordable way to get this all-time classic, and in a solid package to boot. Highly recommended!

Once again, these Tangerine Dream mini LP re-releases do not disappoint! All the benefits of the 2019 release and even more, in a perfect sleeve replica. I especially love the bonus tracks and bonus disc, it only could be more perfect if ALL of the Rainbow Concert was on there... But regardless of that, this is still the richest and most luxurious re-release of this classic TD album. Very highly recommended, along with the others in this series.

I'm really grateful that I could get this rare box thanks to CDJapan, as it's a real treat! It's sort of a esoteric item, as it's a box with mini CD replicas of Italian prog rock singles, but if you love Italian prog rock you NEED this item! Each single is presented in it's own sleeve replica (and inner sleeve, for security!), all perfectly detailed and very presentable. The discs themselves have a Cramps label design on them except for the two Opus Avantra ones, which is a great touch! Area got a lot of love in this box too, with also two singles, as well as a luxurious photo booklet and poster. The box itself is well-designed and elegant, with an alluring silvery-grey colour and special slot for the single replicas. It will be a true jewel in my collection!

A splendid release, replicating all the basics of the original vinyl release, and even the cardboard funnel insert! For the very affordable price, everything is high quality! The booklet, inserts, sleeve, and of course the sound! The Blu-Spec CD2 provides a very crisp sound, enhancing the jazzy and somewhat nostalgic feel of the music. As for the album itself, if you are a fan of Italian progressive rock in any way, this is a necessary work to experience! It blends creative Italian expressions with a Canterbury-like playfulness.

Incredible! This series of Tangerine Dream mini LPs just keeps on amazing me! The original sleeve is replicated perfectly and is very pleasant to the touch, and comes with a replica of the original vinyl releases obi. Theres a whopping two discfuls of bonus content here, freshly released at the time only in these Japanese releases, and worldwide in a big boxset release. As you can tell, I find myself gravitating to the Japanese release a lot more, it's just more accessible! Tangent aside, the sound quality is splendid. With this release you can sit back and fully absorb this masterpiece without needing to worry. This is the best way to experience this album.

A beautiful release of this personal favourite of mine. Steps were taken to replicate the original sleeve design, and it was done perfectly! The dark sleeve meant to mimic the original shrink wrap is packaged in one more protective sleeve on top of that, and barcodes and such are on a separate inlay. Within, all is splendid, every insert has been replicated in stunning detail. All in all, if you're a CD fiend like I am, this is the ultimate (single disc) release of this album. By far my favourite from the 2017 Mini LP series!

This is a must for any enthusiast of Pink Floyd or Japanese releases of progressive rock albums! The entire package feels heavy and special in my hands, and the contents are marvellous to behold. All the replicas of paraphernalia related to the Hakone Aphrodite event are worth it on their own, but you also get a luxurious photo book and Blu-ray Disc, which allow you to look back on that legendary concert, now immortalised. All in all, the best release of this album yet, and a true collectable.

It's wonderful to finally have this album in SHM-CD format! The cardboard sleeve is great, the disc is pretty, and there's even a sheet of brand new liner notes in Japanese, along with bilingual lyrics. One of the best additions are the bonus tracks, which are instrumental mixes of all the tracks from the album! Overall, this release has everything you'd expect and need from a Mini LP. If you don't own this album on CD yet, this is for you!

It's a simple release, including a pleasant sleeve replica, insert of notes in Japanese, and the disc in a cloth inner sleeve. The highlight here is the quality of the music, which is the best I've ever heard from a CD of this album. It's definitely the best release of this Canterbury Scene masterwork, which I highly recommend for the music alone.

A wonderful encore press! Packaged in a strong gatefold sleeve replica, we have an insert of notes in Japanese, and the SHM-CD itself contained in a cloth inner sleeve. Simple, but it's everything you need. Sound quality-wise, this Italian classic is done it's justice, and it's simply exquisite. The album itself is a must for any fan of Italian Progressive Rock, and this release is definitely the best currently available one there is.

This release perfectly replicates the original design of Yes' most iconic sleeve design, with the included art/photo booklet glued in on the inside of the gatefold sleeve. Within there is even included a replica of a plain paper record inner sleeve, inside of which is the CD's plastic inner sleeve, and the English-language booklet from the 2003 CD release, making this release not just high quality and affordable, but pretty accessible to collectors from outside of Japan. Aside from that, the music quality is outstanding, the original album never sounded better! Overall, it's a pleasure to own this release.

The best CD release of one of Tangerine Dream's greatest works, now in a wonderful Mini LP, replicating the original sleeve and OBI perfectly. Not only does the first disc include a beautifully remastered version of the original album, but also a heavenly bonus track featuring an extended intro. The second disc contains a wonderful treat in the form of Oedipus Tyrannus, a long, previously unreleased composition, and it is also in the high quality SHM-CD format, along with the first disc. There is no CD release of this album more lavish than this one, and I am proud to own it.
