You get the complete package here, the perfect Japan mini Lp and the Best Sound I have experienced on CD. This holds true for a 4 in this series

There is no difference in sound quality to appreciate between the older Japan mini Lp's of these albums and this box set, but it is a very nice set and I am looking forward to the next round of albums.

I have noting else to compare it to, but sound good to these ears. Very nice mini sleeve as always.

The best this has ever sounded. Great mini sleeve as always... But why did they stop with this one, lets finish all the solo Donald Fagen and Walter Becker??

Thank you for not mastering this for competition in the Loudness Wars. This sounds so much better than the Very Best of Canned Heat hits disc from the US a few years ago. Mini Sleeve as always is perfect.

The original release on CD sounds better than this. The original sounds a little more full. Great Mini Lp design, as always.

Nice full sound on this. I never owned any other prior version, so I have nothing to compare to, but sounds nice and well balanced.

I think the sound has nothing to do with this version. I think the original source material is poor. Beautiful Mini Lp design. It a shame as the quality of the songs could have benefited from better sound quality. Maybe that is why Steve re-recorded 'Valerie' on the Chronicles Cd?

Having the original US pressing, which was a little bright sounding and lacking a fullness of sound, and then I buying the SHM Japanese version which was horribly loud and compressed, also lacking fullness of sound, I assumed I will never hear this album the way that I think it could and should sound. I don't know what happened here, but this sounds wonderful. Full, rich sound, tight bass and plenty of it. Balanced very well with the mids and highs. This does not sound compressed to me. As per usual, the Mini Lp design is perfect.

Although this does not sound poor, compared to the domestic release done several years back, the Japanese release lacks fullness in the bass and the dynamics are not quite as good. Beautiful Mini Lp design, as always.

Comparing to the recent BGO remastered release, this Japan mini Lp version, without a doubt has a much fuller, more detailed robust sound. They are louder(which I wish they would stop doing since my equipment has a volume control), but they still seem to be very musical and dynamic. The bass is more full and very well balanced and there seems to be greater detail in the highs without being harsh. Mini Lp design, as alway is flawless.
