It’s perfect for under-eye makeup. Honestly, I felt that it was a bit rougher compared to high-end goat hair or cat hair brushes, but it worked really well for applying makeup under the eyes

Honestly, I didn’t notice a huge difference in the bristle quality between the Koyudo brushes. But both are good brushes. I planned to use them for nose contouring, but since I don’t usually do shading, I didn’t use them much. Still, they’re soft, and the performance is pretty good

I expected this brush to be very soft and have great color payoff because I remember it’s made with high-quality squirrel hair. Honestly, the bristles from brands like Hakuhodo or Hakuso (or other brands that use their OEMs) are softer, provide better pigmentation, and are easier to control. This brush was disappointing in many ways, and it’s one I don’t reach for often.

I’ve bought countless brushes, but this is the worst one I’ve ever had. The size was exactly what I wanted, but the bristles are terrible. First of all, the bristles are rough, stiff, and painful. I even washed and dried it, hoping it would get better, but it’s still so harsh. What’s even more frustrating is that, despite hurting me, the performance is awful. It just drags my brow shadow around, creates fallout, and doesn’t pick up or apply the color at all

It’s great for eyeliner and eyebrows. The brush is incredibly soft, yet the performance is excellent. I’d love to buy another one, but I’m so curious, I think I’ll try another product from this brand instead

It's great for highlighter! While it works well as a base shadow brush, it really shines when used with shimmer shadows or highlighter for better performance

I really commend myself for buying it quickly before the price went up. Now that the price has increased, it's a hassle to buy internationally because of customs fees. I once got a message from customs saying they were holding my package because it exceeded $150. I had to explain to everyone that the price, after discounts, was actually under $150. It’s a shame because there are still so many brushes I want, but I can't buy them because of the customs fees

Is there ever a chance that a Bisho-do brush could disappoint me? I really trust Bisho-do. I love it so much. I hope the craftsmen who make this series live a long, healthy life so they can keep making these for many more years.
