Caravanserai [Low-priced Reissue]SantanaTimelessThis found Santana at the peak of their powers . Mainly instrumental , with only three vocal tracks , the influence of John Coltrane and John McLaughlin can be heard . It has a timeless feel , and with Neil Schon helping out on second guitar and Michael Shrieve probably at the peak of his powers ably assisted by Gregg Rolie with some fine organ playing and vocals where required , it really gels as a cohesive set . More than highly recommended , it is probably essential .

Elegant Gypsy [Low-priced Reissue]Al Di MeolaA Real StormerEven better than its predecessor , if such a thing is possible . Outstanding tracks exceptionally played , with Jan Hammer making the first of several appearances on upcoming albums . Great stuff all round .
