R-C5 Blush Brush Black / Chikuhodo Regular Series / Silver Fox BlackMakeup BrushAmazing brush for the priceI was expecting this to be relatively small like the RC-2, but it is much larger, especially post wash. The hair is soft and resilient with nice density. This brush could be used for powder or blush; it is much more versatile than I was expecting. Comparable to much more expensive silver fox brushes in my collection. At this price point, I don't have to be so precious about it and it's going to get a lot of use.

Yoshiki Year of The Dragon Ultra Soft Kabuki Brush 01 / Red Squirrel, Goat Saibikoho Red Squirrel and Saibikoho GoatMakeup BrushAmazing super soft hair comboSo glad I picked up this kabuki while it was on sale. It's a gorgeous, super dense head that works well for my pressed mineral powder foundation. Incredibly soft and a stunning work of art. My daughter is already asking to use it. I wish I had bought two.

Gray Squirrel Powder Brush Limited Edition Sakura DesignMakeup BrushBeautiful soft brushThe makie handle is so beautiful. The brush fluffs up so nicely and is extremely soft. I use this brush to apply a diffuse layer of powder over my whole face. Long squirrel hairs are getting more and more scarce so I was happy to add this to my collection.

REN-8 Eyeshadow Brush / Chikuhodo REN Series / Red Fox, Gray SquirrelMakeup BrushLovely eye brushThis is a pretty standard shape eye shadow brush, but the hair combo makes it more firm and resilient than a pure squirrel eye brush. Most of my eyeshadows are on the softer side and this brush packs on a lot of colour on in one sweep. It doesn't fluff up or splay out after washing.

Ksz-03(KK-2) Cheek Brush / KOYUDO Kakishibuzome Series / Goat Saikoho(Kakishibuzome)Makeup BrushWork horse blush brushThis brush series is excellent value for kakishibuzome saikoho. The round powder brush is my favourite of the series, but this blush brush is a close second. It's a fluffy paddle shape, so if you like to apply your blush in back and forth sweeping motions, this is a great brush for that. Turned sideways, it's excellent for applying contour in the hollows of your cheeks. I love how the persimmon dye makes it so these brushes don't look dirty. This isn't considered a premium handle, but I adore the cherrywood combined with the black ferrule and kakishibuzome bristles. Such a pretty combo.

MGS001 KOYUDO Portable Gray Squirrel Blush Brush Pink / Gray SquirrelNew favourite travel brushI have a similar style powder brush made by Chikuhodo that I also bought from CD Japan, but it is blended goat and squirrel hair. This one is a pure grey squirrel blush brush and it's basically the same size brush head. It applies blush perfectly every time. I'm sure I could use it to touch up powder as well but I use my Chikuhodo one for that. I hope this brush is released in other colours.

REN-6 Blush Brush / Chikuhodo REN Series / Red Fox, Gray SquirrelMakeup Brushlike but don't loveRound blush brushes are my favourite type of brush, but this one isn't one of my top choices. The bundling on mine isn't great, and at this price point it should be perfect. This brush is quite firm and not as soft as I had hoped it would be for the type of products I use. I think this brush would work better with hard to pick up blushes.

BT-01 BISYODO TowelMakeup Brushperfect little towelGreat for wiping brushes on between uses. Powder products on natural bristles comes right off. I will be buying another one for when this one needs to be washed.

GSN-5 Liquid Brush / Chikuhodo GSN Series / GoatMakeup BrushExcellent cream or liquid face brushWhile you can use this brush for foundation, I primarily use it for cream blush application and blending. It's also great turned sideways for cream contour in the hollows of the cheeks. Mine is quite soft and doesn't bother my super sensitive skin at all. I've used it for 5 years in rotation with a few other brushes and it still looks and works great. For the price point, you would be hard pressed to find a better small face brush for liquid and cream products, especially if you love long handles.

GSN-9 Eye Shadow Brush / Chikuhodo GSN Series / Gray SquirrelMakeup Brushvery versatile eye brushThe size and shape of this eye brush makes it useful for shadow laydown on the mobile lid, crease blending, smoking out the bottom lash line, highlighting the brow bone... The squirrel is beautifully soft on the eyelid and you can build colour gradually because of the softness. It has been a part of my travel kit for years and it still looks new. Great value, especially if you like long handled brushes.

FU-1 fu-pa Fluffy Powder Brush / Koyudo fu-pa Series / High grade Goat Sokoho Logo: KOYUDO(Japanese, kanji character)Makeup Brushfluffy ball of joyI'm so happy to see a Fu-Pa series revival. I bought two of these brushes so I would have a backup. The only thing that would make this brush better is if it was make with a squirrel/saikoho or fox/saikoho blend. However, the sokoho used for this brush is still very soft. It did have a strong smell that my past fu-pa brushes didn't have, but after a few of washes, the smell has thankfully faded and the brushes have fluffed up beautifully. I hope Koyudo produces some premium hair fluffy fu-pa brushes in the future.

fu-pa13-p Small Liquid Foundation Brush / Koyudo fu-pa Series pink / SMakeup Brushlearning curveI have the blue version and I love the handle colour so much. I wish they would make a blue fu-pa02 and fu-pa07 so I could have a matching set. It took some time for me to learn to use the angled shape. This brush is good for detail liquid foundation work, but very time consuming to use for the whole face. I prefer my fu-pa02 for that. I usually use this brush for contouring or blending my liquid highlighter. It's not my favourite fu-pa, but it's still lovely and I'm glad I got a blue one before they sold out.

DEKA fu-pa01 Extra Large Powder Brush / Koyudo fu-pa Series BlackMakeup Brushmagic eraserI get redness and rosacea on my chest, so I was looking for a large, dense powder brush for heavy coverage. I bought this based on Sonia's description on the Sweet Makeup Temptations website, and it is everything I was looking for. I use this with my loose mineral powder foundation and all of my flaws disappear in seconds. The brush is incredibly well made, super dense yet soft as velvet, and has not shed even one hair. Truly a masterpiece in brush construction and design. I love it so much, I may have to save up for a second one.
