It's really excited to get my first Chikuhodo Kazan brush. Though the price is very high, I still take it since I can't resist big powder brush. I use it without pre-washing, I'm not sure if the hair keeps falling is because of it or it's the bundle problem. I also have Zen-01 & Ren-01, but the hair-falling issue is not so obvious as KZ-01. The bristle is very soft as expected, but I should continue to watch the hair-falling situation after washing it.

Every No.3 brush in Chikuhodo special series never gets you disappointed. It was too late for me to get ZEN-03 when I stepped in fude world since it was sold out by then. But I have ZEN-03 which I also like it very much. Such round shape of brush is always my favorite, KZ-03 is also not an exception. It suits the blush application very well, and help me blend the blush so easily. The effect is very natural and not over-pigmented. I really like it when I use it for the first time. I'm so glad that I take this brush in.

Due to the long hair of the brush, I use it as powder brush in the beginning. As I expected, the design is very like other Chikuhodo XX-2 brush of ZEN or Ren series, the thickness of hair volume doesn't meet my preference for powder brush. But the bristle is really softer comparing to ZEN & REN series. I'm still glad to take it for collection.

I think this is the best eyeshadow brush within Chikuhodo Z series. The bristle is soft and comfortable the same as other Z series brushes, but it's more flexible which I feel the effect of eyeshadow application is better. And the size is more suitable for eyes.

Though it's a highlighter brush, I still use it to apply blush and the effect is very pigmented than I expected. I don't have old chikuhodo Kazan brush, but I have the same type of hair brush from Tanseido which is also a fude manufacture in Japan. Comparing to Tanseido Kazan hair brush, the bundle density from chikuhodo is higher than Tanseido. In the meantime, the hair is so soft and comfortable so that it can help blend the blush very well but also keep the pigmented effect. And that does surprise me since the impression that I got from Tanseido Kazan brush is soft hair but lighter effect. I haven't used it for highlighter yet, but I believe the effect should be good as well. I'm glad that I bought this brush, it's not just a collection but also performing its function well.

Because I don't have any kolinsky bristle brush, so I'd like to give it a try and choose this one. As I expected, the hair is a bit of stiff. I thought the effect of eye shadow application should be more pigmented than my other squirrel or goat hair brush, but it turns out not good..I'm not sure if it's because the suqqu eye shadow or the hair itself...Maybe I should give it another chance with other brand of eye shadow and see how it works.

The bristle is as soft as grey squirrel hair. It might be softer than the grey squirrel. The size and shape is quite good for the eye shadow application. I also use it to apply highlight for under eye, and the effect is also not bad.

The squirrel bursh is as soft as expected. I usually use it to apply base color for eyes. It's also good for highlight application under eye. The handle is a bit of short for my personal usage, but it should be good for travel.

The hair is very soft more than I expected. Though it is indicated as a eye shadow brush, but the size is kind of too big for the eye color applicaiton. So I personally use it to apply setting powder under eye or highlight for the center of face. This brush is quite good for such application.

Originally I intended to use it to apply concealer near the nose, but the shape is too big to fit it. So I use it to apply powder type of concealer or highlighter under eye. I feel it's better than to apply eye shadow with this brush.

This is my first screw brush made by animal hair. It is quite stiff comparing to my other screw brush made by synthetic. I use it for combing the eyebrow. Since it's not so soft, I need to use it very gently to avoid making myself uncomfortable. I think the stiff bristle can make good hair combing, but considering the comfortness, I may not purchase such type of brush again.

Since I have purchased other similar brush like this for concealer application, so it's not a surprise to me. It just falls with my expectation, nice to use it for concealer application. The length of the hair is a bit of short for comparing to other concealer brush. But the size of the width quite fits my usual makeup habit.

The shape of this brush is quite special. I can't remember that I have such shape of type brush. The arrow tip is quite helpful to apply highlight in the precise spot. The bristle is also soft as other brush of this series. In general, this is a good brush but not must have one.

Recently I prefer to use eyeliner type of brush to apply concealer since the size and the thickness of the hair design is more fit to what I need. But this Bisyodo concealer brush makes me to love to use bigger concealer brush again. This thickness and the length of hair is quite fit for my concealer application on the dark spot. But sometimes I still feel it can't apply the product very smoothly. So I rate it in 4 starts. BTW, it's nice to have a cap though.

Recently I like to use such shape of eyeliner brush for concealer application since the shape, size and thickness is better for it. This thickness is just thin enough to apply the product in right amount. And the size is also ok. I haven't tried it to draw the eyeliner, but I feel the length might be a bit of long considering my other eyeliner brushes the length of hair are not very long. But the stiffness of the hair itself should be good for it.

The flat type design can help apply the product very thin. It's good for under eye concealer application, but for me it's not enough for dark spot concealer application. The size is still a bit of bigger than I expected, but not too big. PBT material can make it good for washing and good perseveration.

I'm glad to pick up this brush and it's really worth it since I pick it up when it's in discount. I choose this brush is because recently I found that such shape of brush has good effect of concealer application. I usually use cream type of concealer. It can be very precise and won't pick up too much product when applying the concealer. And this brush is made by PBT, I don't need to worry about hurting the bristle when using cream product.

When I first got it, the size is bigger than I expected, I think I probably mislead by the photo on the website. And I feel the thickness is a bit of thinner, which I thought it should be denser. But when I start to use it, I do feel the bristle is very soft even it's just pine squirrel hair. The effect of eye shadow application is also good, the eyeshadow powder can be applied very smoothly and even. To use it to apply base color is also a good choice. I might consider to purchase it again as backup.

Before I started to use this brush, I thought the bristle might be too soft to do a eyeliner job. It turns out the effect of using it to draw the eyeliner is good and precise. The bristle is stiff but not prick. Good to have it but alternative should be able to find easily.

The size is much smaller than I expected. It's more like a pin point brush, so it can be a small smudge brush. It can also be a eyeliner brush because of its size and shape. This is a not bad brush, but not a mush have brush.
