This movie is it's own world. It is part of "Moon Project", by Gackt. It was released several albums, one novel and this movie around the story and concept which has own timeline long many centuries. Could be inspired or influenced or trying to show some connection with royal families? Story is about what looks like being vampire, being human, maturing and growing up. As you grow, you change. A bit social movie as well. Everyone who wants to get the point and concept behind the movie should watch it at least two or three times. There's plenty of things to think about it, characters, moments, words, find any relation to history, occultism, mysticism and such. Actually, there's a strange and mystic atmosphere all around "Moon Saga". On the 2005 Diabolos tour final performance dancers costumes had a resemblance to aliens. Acting by three musical acts and three main characters Gackt, Hyde and Leehom Wang was medicore, a bit pushed. Because filmography is about acting than this movie is not that great, actually Kanata Hongo who played the role of young Sho done better his job then anyone. There moments of every actor, for some not, but it is as it is. Who obviously like and is interested to Gackts work "Moon Saga", or not, must know that this movie is medicore, while concept a bit difficult to understand at first, or second time, perhaps even further.

Gackt is "himself". Different from other music acts in Japan, and eastern Asia. His concerts are different because has a concept, or a real story and novel behind them. He's not just "doing" a live, but putting himself into this fictional figures (especially in RR series) or how wants audience to see him. So his concerts can be divided into two types: Storical and Publical, and on both of them he's playing mostly different songs. Then if he has a Moon Project concert he won't play songs from RR or others, and vice versa. Also if he's doing just a "random" ones, like Drug Party or Yellow Fried Chickenz, different songs could be played, which of course go with the theme of concert. Comments under said all correct. Scenography is very well. Camera motion is very good, sound is very good and music sound very well also. Could be noticed that his voice sound stronger, a bit different, actually every year is a bit different. Perhaps is not a born singer and because of this his voice with aging and habbit change. Or is doing some lip-syn, voice correction (both mehanically and phisically). As every his concert, is divided into two parts. First one which potrais his concept and could be more called a performance, and second one where could be called just a normal live where's interacting with audience. So in comparison to others acts and more usual concerts where you have from beginning to end almost the same theme, atmosphere, here it is not and to some could be a bit strange, disappointed or get bored. Introduction was with "Noah", while real live opening was quiet excellent, the sound and ritm of "Doomsday" incredible, some time not heard. Following 4th and especially 5th performance a bit too pushed, while 6th and especially 7th performance being the best part of the whole concert, outstanding and different. Between 7th and 8th performance seems something was cut. "Lapis" is a sad, but beautiful song. After is "normal" live, a bit to say boring since are normal popish songs, only four latest songs are very good. All in all, for me this is one of his best concerts, along "Requiem et Reminiscence II" which is a total different category compared to older ones, and "Drug Party" (fanclub only event and DVD). Others have some more minuses, be his appearance, voice, songs, atmosphere, scenography etc.

Every album by Inoran is at least very good, all are totally outstanding. All albums, as this one, has many wonderful songs, not just two or four like in most time both in the West and East. Really, hes writing and playing perhaps some of greatest ballads, pop rock, trip-hop, ambient, songs from modern (popular) music scene in Japan or Asia. A true(!) musical act. Sadlly, he's heavly underrated. Perhaps the main or only reason is that he can't sing live like on album, actually he can't reach that quality. He is not born singer, but with age is getting better and better, neverthless he sound good live. At least, people admire the music, stage. Becuase the album was released with only CD+DVD version price is a bit higher than normal. The music video is very good, and "Daylight" is also a very good song. Has a very Japanese feeling opening. Another great pop ballad on market. Why 4 stars? Album is lovely, with nice feel and atmosphere, only "Shike" (english lyrics, accent is not the best, average, nothing strange for a Japanese singer) is a bit faster track. It is complete and all, yet seems a bit transparent, aswell tranquil and unique, like sea.

Could be written many things about this album. From that how it is complete up to that it would sold more than a million copies in USA and Europe. Yet.. it's better like this. Morrie is a human what worked, not literally, behind the scene and influenced everyone who approached him. Dante Alighieri's poem "Divine Comedy" is divided into three parts, the Inferno, Purgatory and Paradise. The release of the album was followed by "Purgatory" and "Paradise" tours There two versions, one with and one without the DVD (music video). If you don't need this extra, buy one what costs less. People say "buy, you won't regret", but almost 99% of time this is not true. But, this time, if really like music and really thought about to buy an complete musical artwork, especially from Japanese rock music market, then you're looking at the right thing.

More concrete and complex - complete. The feeling combined with music and voice is dark, deeper, just excellent work there. Yet there could be one or two songs in the middle of 50% or 80% of the tracklist since has some resemblance to the Dead End 2009 album "Metamorphosis", but much better continues and ends. At the very end of a decade.. finally someone from Japan released a good rock record.

Creature Creature was formed by Morrie, for most of his, and giving a chance to band members, musical mostly rock expression. It can be partly considered as his last moments of energy and effort, giving the charm to over forgotten music, going back on its roots - freedom. His voice is so wonderful, you could think he is a God. It could go into deep discussion of music, words, but it shall remain to the listener. Music is darker, with the odd gray feeling, altogether between psychedelic progressive semi-heavier rock. As for the music composition, are neither difficult nor easy, but only individuals can express and because of it are unique. Tracks lyrics are from psychotic, to beautiful metaphorical words. "Cosmos Blackness" and "Lights" being the only songs with only or mostly english words. This work, although not officially by the music industry, formally is considered best rock and the most expressing album of the year. With the best semi-pop/rock ballad of the year "Kaze no Tou", and quiet the best rock song of the year "Maboroshi", with still quite a lot of other interesting music elements, something priceless. Notations on those who are addicted to pop culture, because this album is much more complicated than usual. But with time and a rejection of not worth music from your memory, recognize the value of music. The art for expression or inspiring..

In the year of 1988, with songs as "Blue Vices" could be seen how their musical expression from heavy metal and darker lyrically rock songs, changed into something slightly friendlier radio rock music. Probably can not even deny that 'Morrie', who was much more involved in the composition of music tracks than before. Also 'Hajime Okano' which is more than just a producer because they grew up together and in this album could be considered as the fifth member. In the beginning of the record is Morrie's song "I Want You Love" in which composition H.Okano attended more than Morrie itself, is with slighter popish ritmic then others. But musn't be confused pop rock music from the eighties with those from the twentieth and twenty-first century, that are totally different things. Next to coming is "Sleep In The Sky", on who only Morrie worked. The following songs that are worth highlighting are, the "So Sweet So Lonely," one of the eternally living rock hits. Following song is "Crash 49", on which Morrie collaborated with Hajime Okano. Quiet a good song, although the live version sounds much better since is not mastered. Then comes a bit of depression here and there, known to elevate, but nothing special. Probably the lack of inspiration or something other.. Original record, ended with one of those songs that take you behind borders. Their most precious song, and one of the most precious rock songs ever written in our history, "Serafine". Just because of it is worthwhile to buy this record. Like in the previous work, there could be also found two memorable and recognizable bonus tracks "Good Morning Satellite" and "Genshi no Kakera", of which the second is wonderful, and ending the record quiet perfectly. As every other reissue, in addition to being included the history of group in Japanese language in the booklet, CD is of high-fidelty Blue-spec format, causing less distortion in the optical read-out process, with incredible sound. If you are collectors or anyone else who wants to travel to the rock eighties, do not miss this opportunity.

Perhaps the words "show must go on" describes what happened during the nineties. But his spirit remained in the root, based on DNA. Far away in the end of oblivion, probably unattainable for many.. Twenty years later, covered with a veil.. After having been in a sarcophagus, his dive into the imagination and the mystic dreams, secret passages and internal doors to a deeper sense of reality.. covered with a veil, Phantom came back. Directly speaking, this is a musical metamorphosis into total heavy metal, proving once again the right choice for names. In this album you can clearly see how this band has not changed in the database, but in musical terms, the meaning of the expression did. Such things regularly happened in the past, and is important to keep pace. For any of the previous works, this is a huge step forward, both aesthetically and musically, also it would be unfortunate to have not used Morrie's voice in exactly this way. Such voices are likely to emerge only once on the planet, just.. Simply, crystal clear that these artists are destined related to doing their work because this is so sophisticated, smoothly completed work with a clear unwavering vision. It could be discussed and described in detail each track on the album, but it wouldn't be fair to revealing anything that would diminish the experience. Anyone who likes real heavy metal music, this album will take him in seventh heaven. Others who prefer lighter music, such as "Serafine", it would be better not to take this album. Its weight and power is nothing else than hard, heavy metal what is making it band's heaviest album up to date. But if you acquire it, you can see how even in this form of music can be created masterpieces. At the ending you can hear, you can feel, you can.. see Phantom talking his forgiveness of his sins on everything bad that has been made, in the pains of sorrow to cry and disappearing in the unknown. Literal you can you feel the last farewell, the last touch, and unfortunately.. last goodbye.

Although this was not planned, because unfortunately not a good deal of informative comment below, or actually false impression about the actual situation, the reality of the band, decided to write a "review" on this page that will be more informative spectrum, more or less related to the band. Thoughts, the review on this wonderful piece of music can be found on the other site. In the world exist one very wrong opinion. How where you go, the mentality of trends or pop culture who can be found in music is the same, and is equally accepted by people. Probably the easy illusion is caused by broader white population and mostly by the U.S. music industry. Japan's isolation from the world, (same goes for other Asian countries), was carried out because of stopping such a system led by the United States of America. They looked at with caution on anything new in order not to disturb the idyll, the line, thanks to which after the Second World War, became the second world economic power, and now being in the declining path. It is sad to hear such remarks about someone who did not deserve it at all. Not even worth a response.. In addition to statements which speak against each other, musical education, and understanding is more than clear. From the very past, Dead End was a heavy metal band what also had lighter rock stylish songs, who were very loved among the female audience. Emerged and gone before the visual fenomen, only insight how they were ahead of their time. Today Morrie's voice went deeper, his desire for performing live and writting songs are immense, his musical expression went into a much darker music, and nothing more nor less Dead End metamorphozed into a heavier metal band. Just it would be a misfortune he didn't used his rare voice, and other members their skill this way. To get back to the explanation, "Devil Sleep" is actually the only track on the album what has (not particulary) similarity with the music produced by visual (heavier)rock groups, and is very far for being only song on it worth of hearing. Also, it is a insanity calling a art "crap", if they were only able to produce such a sophisticated musical and lyrical artistic expression, would be played metal musicals. Dead End is a unique example of the Japanese art of music and its understanding of the creation of the initial records on paper to performing under the lights of the world.

For an little introduction, it must be said that at the time and currently, if you thought you heard all that rock and metal can give, you made a significant mistake. 'Dead End', the legendary phantom who is performing in the shadows of dark streets.. Yet, since this streets are there in every city, or even in the corner, we're unconsciously under the influence and with astonishment not understand from where it is coming from. They are in fact DNA of the music movement, for next generation's of musicians who tried to connecet, to experiment. One of them is their "son" 'Luna Sea' whose inspiration is clearly found here. Easily have been, and remained ahead of time, avant-garde mature band. Also with a factor of independence, just with desire to perform music, probably did not achieve the commercial glory as 'X Japan' or 'Loudness', but different side - normal group which has more influence on the future generation's music, and consideration as a legend's. That is why the name "Ghost of Romance" perfectly describes them. It is maybe their most accomplished album, with a vision of heavy metal. After you heared this album, you can almost proudly say "I heared everything the heavy metal eighties gave to us!". Each track is memorable, has it's own right to be remembered. "Danse Macabre", is just one of their most recognizable songs and not just in the heavy metal menu, beautifuly showing Minato's drumming skill's. Followed by another fantastic and agressive heavy metal beauty, "The Damned Thing". Then the sound is going more vibrant, none could be but, "Phantom Nation". This and the next following wonder "The Godsend" (my choice), is written by Morrie. Then comes recognizable sound of "Decoy" composed by Joe, followed by very amazing "The Red Moon Calls Insanity". Now in line is dark rockish energy of "Dead Man's Rock" written by Morrie, the third and last song of his on the record. Who could be now? This sound, this voice.. Must be brother of "Phantom Nation", the "Skeleton Circus"! If you truly judge, this two are the first and second best song on the record. With respect, sincerely.. The end belongs to wonderful "Song of a Lunatic", "It is a look into the abyss, the back of my head." commented Morrie. If you are collectors or anyone else who wants to travel to the heavy metal eighties, do not miss this high-fidelty opportunity.

Time is going on.. Everyone come, everyone is performing under the lights and eyes. Things are moving on, but something is missing.. Someone is missing.. No, world did once again fallen into the illusion of space and time, variables of shadows and light. It is the Phantom, who during this time was hidden in the shadows waiting for the revelation of the darkness and offset the limelight. He followed his instincts, deserted streets into something complex.. This time, if you thought you listened to everything rock invented, then this is the one of missing pieces to move into a new world. The journey begins, where will they step now, where will we follow them.. Suddenly, as if the infernal guitar appear out of nowhere. Embryos up in fire, you can't go out, the voice is talking to you "No time, no space, You've got no justice, Nowhere to go out, Make love till the end". You were running for the exit from this madness, when the "Junk" is going on. You run on forever, wherever you went there beginning nor end,they're within you with this dark song, Morrie is telling you "Brand new world.. Brand new hell". In the darkness, you hear the distorted bass line of "Night Song", composed by Joe, and suddenly at the same time lights are lit on Minato's orders. This is insanity, neverthless you will just fell in love with this song. Until the end of first half, you will listen to "Serpent Silver" speed metal number with some clean guitars, followed by hard rock and funky fusion "Psychomania", who seeks quiet a inventive mind. The atmosphere has calmed down and started "Luna Madness", rock ballad in its extension to "Blind Boy Project", a bit street metal, could be the only uninteresting song, but a good pop-metal track "Blood Music" improves the energy, especially with the solistic music.. "Heaven" is a ballad and with it's lyrical, muscial and vocal composition, very beautiful track. In her can be heard up the most from who is 'Ryuichi' inspired. Somewhere the wonderful music and voice is coming, the end belongs to "I Can Hear The Rain". There could be also found two memorable and recognizable tracks "Blue Vices" and "Wire Dancer", of which the second is something special, and ending the record perfectly. If you are collectors or anyone else who wants to travel to the heavy metal, rock eighties, do not miss this high-fidelty opportunity.

After ten years of solo career, a musical project called "Zipangu rock" begins. This project will be a sort of unique, because it is likely or may contain musical vistas and overall imagination that can be imagined. To fulfill these desires, comes a new contract with Avex Group. This information tells you all: "the holding company for a group of entertainment-related subsidiaries based in Japan. The origin of the word Avex comes from the English words Audio Visual Expert." Setsugekka -The End of Silence-, "literally meaning "snow, moon, and flowers", comes from a poem by Bai Juyi and is used to describe serene beauty. "Setsugekka" is also the name of the white cultivar of the Okinawan Camellia sasanqua flower." All that these words be complementary approach and indicate is this zipangu ballad. But.. such a beautiful visualization and imagination in a video until now, is not seen. Although suspect that was expelled under the auspices of the former contract, the work overshadowed anyone any whose work until now! ZAN, as the song itself is very well accepted by admirers. It has a footprint of musical expression of some songs from before, with the addition of fast play. It's nice to see Gackt, after a three year interval on music scene. Though, was there whole time, but touring only fanclub events, in 2005/2006 were his last public concerts. This single is a little(!) different music, than known before done by Gackt. But, like it a lot. Since, those new songs could be considered as a experiment, and isn't doing albums on the step to be listened that much via CD, (but on his concerts) Gackt never failed. 'Ghost' and 'Blue Lagoon' (what don't sound as 'Metamorphoze' in none segment..) are excellent songs.

Thing is, this album is more than great, for me their greatest done work until now. Songs, specially "Marry of the Blood -Bloody Minded Mix-" is their, or most interesting Indutrial/dark song worldwide. To every group admirer, getting this work you won't be disappointed.

As being connected to music, one person told me '.. look their new single.', leaving me without other words. Since, know very well admirers talking about "like&don't like" and "old&new", had to write my thoughts. Thing is, as artist is going forward on his road, as a person in same time, many people who became addicted with "him&them", aren't. If don't see, with time musician becomes more and more 'enlightened' (if good). Looking at their history, can you see their 'environment' changing, their music becoming a fragment of inspiration? Just, this new single is so full of emotion/rock, in moments dark, but over positive energy. Talking overall single, specifically 'Crossed Arrows' you must feel this expressionism. Something good time don't seen in Japanese music scene, worldwide, and a incoming period of time. Thus, single ended, believing or not is one of greatest rock things which you will listen current. Only someone growing up would done this piece of work.. D'espairsRay, legendary industrial/gothic/rock band, without discussion could be with this work considered in parry as a industrial/alternative Dir en Grey.
