Fafner in the azure -NO WHERE-AnimationA- (but oh so close)The beautiful music of Soukyuu no Fafner is here in spades. The BGM portion of the album clocks in at only 56:15, but each track is at least 1:10 long, with most clocking in closer to 2:00 or 3:00; no 0:05 eye-catches wasting space, here. That it's a live, and very good orchestra (the Warsaw Philharmonic) performing this music is also very obvious--it has none of the artificial feel of even the best synths. So why not an A? No opening or closing themes. :( If you want Angela Aki's beautiful Shangri-La or Separation, you'll have to get the single.

Fafner in the azure -NOW HERE- Sokyu no Fafner BGM & Drama Album IIAnimationAnother A- for Soukyuu no FafnerThe second of the two Soukyuu no Fafner soundtracks, this album is as beautiful as the first. The BGM portion of the album clocks in at 1:02:15, and each track is at least 1:00 long, with most clocking in closer to 2:00 or 3:00; no 0:05 eye-catches wasting space, here. The Warsaw Philharmonic puts in another amazing performance here, giving the album the kind of organic beauty that even very good synth can't quite match. So why not an A? No opening or closing themes. :( If you want Angela Aki's beautiful Shangri-La or Separation, you'll have to get the single. Now Here, however, does have one bonus Image Song, the lovely "Mystic Girl."
