A quirky film, almost documentary in style. You really feel you are following the life and death of the main charcter of this film. Well worth a viewing

What a lovely film. If you like Japanese style films you will love this very sweet film - it made me cry. The four actors who play Yosuke and Yu at 17 and 34 really play their parts well. I also got a booklet about the film and the cast together with the score to the theme song! Excellent highly recommend this to anyone who likes a love story!

I wasn't too sure about this film when I first saw it. Thought maybe a bit too slapstick, but I have to say given another airing this really is a warm hearted lovely film. The more I watch (and now I have watched it so much I'm in fear of needing a new copy! the more I like it. It has some great characters and you just want Jinta to come out on top.

This is a lovely story of a young girl beautiful played by Rena Tanaka; who goes on a quest after finding something in her mother's music box. It's a sad but light hearted film about past, present and future love. There are also some very funny scenes with Hiro Sanada. A very enjoyable film.

This is one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen. Wonderfully put together your heart goes out to each of the characters in turn as you see why they are driven to act as they do. The costumes, set desgin and cinematography are highly colourful and utterly exquisite. I highly recommend this film to anyone who is yet to see it. It truly is a work of art.

I ordered this film a) because of my love of Sanada-san as actor (beyond excellent!)and b) because I thought there was little chance of 'Aegis' making the UK box office. It is a fantastic film. Thankfully there isn't a select button for a dubbed English version - it's subtittled for those of you whos knowledge of Japanese is limited to the formalities of introduction and so forth just like my own; so you get the true sense of every actor and their emotional input. Sanada-san as always out does himself. It's as glorious as any Hollywood action/SFX movie - actually it's better than a lot of Hollywood so called blockbuster movies!!! Japanese film making at it's best. Highly recommend it if you like no stop action but warning it's not a chick flick girls even if though it has a HIRO - hee hee.
