60s 70s 80s [CD+DVD]Namie Amuro60s 70s 80s
Namie Amuro's music videos are brilliant, seriously! I really like the one for "New Look", the whole idea and concept are just genius. I like the way she dances as well, she is pretty good at it! That said, the songs are great as well! My favorite one is "WHAT A FEELING", but "New Look" is very fun and catchy as well! The whole idea of remixing old American songs is a good one, in my opinion. The songs are full of energy, and Namie's voice is really nice as well. To summarize, a very creative and entertaining single!

TV Anime Blassreiter New Outro Theme: A Wish For The StarsKanako ItoA Wish For The Stars
Ito Kanako is a very good singer. Her voice is beautiful, and she has the chance to work with the Nitro+'s crew. She is, if I can say it that way, their "lead" singer. I cannot find words to describe "A Wish For The Stars". I fell in love the first time I listened to it. The melody and Ito Kanako's voice were simply too much for me. Seriously. It's some kind of ballad, but it's really good. "DD" is very different from the A-side, to tell the truth. It is sung in French, and even though the lyrics are hard to understand even for a French speaker, it's still a good song. They are pretty good, though, and there is no mistake in them. I cannot really describe the song, though, it's... weird. But very good! If you have never heard any of Ito Kanako's work and want to give it a try, I highly suggest this single!

SINGLE CLIP COLLECTION Vol.2Hikaru UtadaSingle Clip Collection #2
Utada Hikaru's PVs are unique and so stylish, you cannot help but like them... well, in my opinion anyway! That said, "Wait & See" and "Can You Keep a Secret?" are very good video clips. The Dolby Surround track for the first clip is a nice gift from the staff, because the sound is so good! Of course, it's always fun to watch the making-of footage! Because of that, I think it's a great buy, hardcore fan or not :)

Utada Hikaru in Budokan 2004 "Hikaru no 5"Hikaru UtadaHikaru no 5
There are many things to say about this DVD, and I'll try to keep it as short as possible. First of all, Utada Hikaru is awesome at performing live, and it really shows on this DVD. Her voice is not exactly the same when she does, but it doesn't matter at all. Kudos to her performance of "Hikari". Then, the sound quality is just top notch. It's always a pleasure to watch it on a plasma screen with good speakers. I guess we should thank the DVD staff for the Dolby Digital 5.1 track! Unlike the Utada United DVD, this one has bonus! They aren't that awesome, but still, it's better than nothing! The "rehearsal scene" for "Sunglasses" is great as well, even though it might look a bit off when you watch the entire show... Well, if you like the album "Deep River", you will like this DVD for sure! It's still a very good buy even if you are simply a fan of Utada Hikaru :)

This Is The OneUtadaThis Is The One
Utada never ceases to amaze me with her talent. Many people say that this album is not good, that the songs are not original... I can't help but disagree. Her style is different when she sings in English, and it's great because it proves that she is good with every genre she tries. Different genres are good too! I like all the songs on this album. The lyrics are amazing and the beats catchy. My favorite tracks are Apple & Cinnamon, This One (Crying Like A Child), and Poppin'. As a whole, I think this album is better than Exodus, even if it is very good, too. Utada has very good reasons to be proud of this album.

Love Paradox [Regular Edition]Leah DizonLove Paradox
"Love Paradox" is the first song I've heard from Leah Dizon and it's so good!!! After listening to more of her stuff, I can say that her voice is made for that kind of songs, and this style fits her perfectly. The lyrics are quite interesting too, I love the idea of a "love paradox". "Under The Same Sky" is a ballad, and I think it blends perfectly with "Love Paradox". The beat is nice and catchy, and Leah's voice sounds great!

Utada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL.1Hikaru UtadaAwesome compilation!
This compilation is a good buy if you are new to Utada's music and want to discover her through her most popular hits. However, it still is a good buy if you already know her music ! All her singles from that era are excellent, after all. My favorite songs are "For You", "Wait & See", "FINAL DISTANCE", "traveling", "SAKURA drops", "Letters", and, of course, "COLORS". I strongly suggest you this album, if you want to discover Utada or discover her again to enjoy her music a bit more :]

Utada United 2006Hikaru UtadaPerfect!
Even though this DVD lacks bonuses, I still think it is worth the buy. Utada's live performance is simply perfect. She looks so happy when she is performing ! The stage setup is very cool, and the lightnings during the concert were simply amazing. That said, I think this DVD is worth it simply for her performance of "Movin' On Without You". Words cannot describe how good and perfect it sounds ! Devil Inside and Kremlin Dusk are incredible as well. I really hope that she will do a tour for HEART STATION, it would be more than awesome~ :] Well, what more should I say ? If you are a Utada fan, do not hesitate and buy this DVD !

Heart Station / Stay GoldHikaru Utada"If you can hear me, say something"
HEART STATION and Stay Gold are two amazing songs, with touching lyrics and sweet melody. I especially like the piano on Stay Gold, it's very relaxing and simple, even though the lyrics have something morbid to them. HEART STATION has very nice lyrics, I like the whole idea of a "heart station". I think it's very original~ That said, if you like this single, I recommend you to buy her "HEART STATION" album, which is simply perfect. Oh, and the stickers are awesome, too :]

Prisoner Of Love [CD+DVD]Hikaru UtadaPrisoner of Love
"Prisoner of Love" is one of the best songs on Utada's newest album, "HEART STATION". That said, this single doesn't really bring something new, except for the "quiet" version and the PV. The "quiet" version is not very different from the original version, but it is beautiful anyway. It also doesn't really have the R&B sound that the original version has. Utada is beautiful in the PV. She looks so happy when she is singing~ It is not as amazing as her other PVs, but I still think it is fun to watch :]

COLORSHikaru UtadaThe future doesn't scare me at all...
What should I say about COLORS... ? While not a fan of her ULTRA BLUE album, I think COLORS is one of her best songs. The melody is so beautiful and has a very unique sound... The lyrics blend perfectly with the idea of colors, and are beautiful, too. Simple and Clean is a very good song, too. Utada's English work is always amazing. This song has a personal meaning to me, and I cannot get tired of it, even though I've been listening to it for a long time. I cannot say that it's better than Hikari, while I cannot say that Hikari is better than it. The two songs are both awesome. Well, to shorten things, I totally recommend this single, even if you are not a fan of Utada :]

Utada Hikaru Single Clip Collection Vol.4 [Limited Edition]Hikaru UtadaTotally worth it
A very good PVs compilation that is worth the buy ! I especially like the PVs for COLORS, Be my Last, and Keep Tryin'. COLORS is very artistic, yet simple, while Be My Last is heart-breaking and emotional. Keep Tryin' is very fun and colorful, it's probably one of my favorites. That said, if you like Utada Hikaru's music, this DVD is a must-buy !

TWO OF USAyako OnoTWO OF US
Well, what should I say about Ayako Ono's awesome "TWO OF US" single ? The A-side is so addicting, I really, really like the music. She has an awesome voice, too. The song in general has something macabre to it, which is awesome. Though she is not well-known, I think she still has a lot of talent and a very pretty voice. That said, I'm sure that anybody would like this single.

DistanceHikaru UtadaDistance
Even though "Distance" is not as good as "HEART STATION" or "Deep River", it doesn't mean that this album is not good. Far from that, to tell the truth. There are many sub-genre distinctions, but the album is still enjoyable to listen to. Utada has a lot of talent, and she has no problem proving it since all the songs on this CD are easy on the ears. The transition between the songs is smooth and agreeable. My personal favorites are "Wait and See", "Drama", "Eternally", "Kettobase!", and "Parody". You do not have to understand the lyrics to appreciate great music, and that said, I especially like the lyrics for "Kettobase!" and "Drama".

Heart StationHikaru UtadaHer best album.
An excellent album: all the tracks are awesome. I like the thirteen tracks, they are very different, but still amazing with perfect vocals and beautiful music. I also really like the simplicity of the lyrics booklet, and the colors are very pretty. (blue and pink being my favorite colors...) Utada Hikaru's best album. She has a lot of talent, even if some people think that she is not as good as she used to be. If you are new to this artist, I highly recommend this CD, you will not be disappointed. By the way, when I bought this album, I didn't really thrust the new material, I thought the songs would not be as good as the advanced singles, but I was wrong, so very wrong! Oh, and the poster is nice, too, I was very happy to get the first press release !

Deep RiverHikaru UtadaDeep River review
All the songs on this album are excellent... ! Utada Hikaru sure has a lot of talent... ! 1.SAKURA Drops -> One of her best songs for sure! The lyrics are very sweet and touching, and I think the melody fits them perfectly! 2.traveling -> Another song that I really like, the beat is very catchy, and I especially like the beginning and the chorus. 3.Shiawase ni narou -> A R&B-pop song, which is very good, too. I especially like the chorus. The music is very good as well. 4.Deep River -> An amazing ballad, the tempo is pretty slow, and it is simply beautiful! 5.Letters -> Reminds me a bit of Hawaiian music... ! I like it, though! Especially the last verses she sings in English. 6.Play Ball -> Very catchy too, I like the lyrics a lot ! It has a strong R&B feel, too. 7.Tokyo Nights -> Very addicting... ! The music has something that appeals me a lot. The chorus is especially very good. 8.A.S.A.P. -> This song is not my favorite one, but it is still good! 9.Uso Mitai na -> Probably my favorite track on this CD! 10.FINAL DISTANCE -> One of my favorite Utada Hikaru's songs... ! 12.Hikari -> A very good song, with powerful lyrics and melody. Heart StationHikaru UtadaOh my God~
I cannot wait for the release of this album...! The singles included in it were all awesome, some of them were even her best, in my opinion...! "Fight the Blues" is, based on the preview I heard, a very interesting song. I think, without at doubt, that the fans will not be deceived by this upcoming album. Oh, and Utada said on her blog that "Prisoner of Love" is going to be a ballad. (I like her ballads a lot!)
-
Flavor Of LifeHikaru UtadaFlavor of Life~
I really like the song "Flavor of Life", the music is very pretty, and so are the lyrics! I think this single is one of her best, and every Utada Hikaru fan should own it! However, you can wait and order her HEART STATION album instead, because the ballad version and normal version are included on it~ ^__^ I know that many people prefer the ballad version, but I myself prefer the normal version~ The instrumental version of the ballad version is awesome, though! That said, I really, really like the lyrics booklet, the colors and photos are beautiful!

Starlight Symphony - KOTOKO Live 2006 In Yokohama Arena [Limited Edition]KOTOKOKOTOKO is my music God~
I have always liked KOTOKO's live performances, and when I've heard about this DVD, I told myself that I had to buy it ! This show is excellent, it is even better than the one she did at Kosei Nenkin Dai Hall of her 2004 tour~ She is very good at singing live, and her band is awesome too ! And even though KOTOKO doesn't dance a lot, I think her show is full of life anyway~ The bonus items for this package are worth your money, seriously. I was very happy to see that she has sung "Agony" and "We Survive" in her Glass no Gaze concert~ I'm not sure if the photo book is also included with the regular edition, but it is very, very pretty. There are many high-quality pictures of KOTOKO, an interview, sketches done by the singer for her costumes, and much more ! The package itself is very pretty, too. This DVD is seriously worth its price. If you are a KOTOKO fan, I strongly suggest you to buy it. And if you like Japanese music in general, I'm sure you will like this show even if you do not know the singer~ To resume, KOTOKO's "Starlight Symphony" is made of pure win and awesome~!

Uzu-Maki [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]KOTOKO"being" saves it
KOTOKO is my favorite singer ever, and as a huge fan of her, I told myself that I had to buy at least the albums she has produced with Geneon. I didn't really like "Glass no Kaze" (Re-Sublimity saved it from "I didn't like") and hoped that UZU-MAKI would be better. I bought it anyway, and paid a little bit more to have the special edition. Now, to tell the truth, I still haven't listened to all of it. I couldn't tell you why. It didn't appeal me that much, the songs are not songs that I was expecting from KOTOKO. Of course, "being" is an amazing song, but beside this one, the others are simply... correct. Now, about the DVD. First, I didn't like the song chosen for the PV at all. I don't know why, but it gets on my nerves. The PV isn't that bad though, and I enjoyed the making of. But beside that, I do not think it is worth it. The lyric booklet is simply ugly, printed on cheap paper and there are no photos of the singer. (compared to "Hane" and "Glass no Kaze") So, in my opinion, UZU-MAKI isn't better than "Hane", but better than "Glass no Kaze". If you are a KOTOKO fan, I can recommand it, otherwise, well... this album is not a must.
