there is no way i cant give this great live album from almost 45 years ago 5 stars, im a guitar guy and steve miller does not come up to often in the hard rock world but this is a fantastic show from the summer of 1977 and it sounds amazing especially with the japanese shm mastering included here. the lp style gate fold sleeve gives this cd a great nice touch as well!!!! back in 2017 there where 5 of the steve miller bands classic 70s albums released in japan in the mini lp style sleeve w/ shm mastering and i got those as well back then, anyway i cant say enough about how great this disc sounds, this live show should have been released years ago, love to see reissues by THE STEVE MILLER BLUES BAND from the 1960s at some point!!!!

this is a great hi res 2 cd japan only remastered cd in this format of this classic 2 lp set originally released back in 1981 ( 40 years ago already) regardless the japan unique remastering on these 2 discs sound phenomenal!!! what you get on both cds are a showcase of what wishbone ash where doing back in the 1970s especially between martin turner & andy powell, sadly if you are a fan the 2 main axemen have not worked together in over 20 years now. anyway this is a lovely 2 cd japan only HI RES remastered edition of this 1981 classic compilation and of coarse as stated the original 1981 japan lp set is perfecty replicated here. anyway if you are a fan of this amazing twin guitar hard rock outfit from the early 1970s uk scene you will love this!!!!!!!!!! the track selection cant be better & again, the hi res remastering sounds as good as any audiophile edition and the packaging is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!

this is a fantastic sounding hi res MQA UHQCD japan only release that sounds fantastic!!!! i bought this lp back in 1984 when it was released as this was only a japan pressed compilation at that time i got the lp ( still have it) in an import lp shop way back then, this is a fantastic collection of some of whitesnakes best recordings from there best era, this record covers 1978 to 1981, the mini lp replication as per the original japan only lp back in 84 is done very well right down to the obi & packaging!!!!! anyone who has seen my whitesnake reviews in the past here on cd japan knows i will always feel THIS WAS WHITESNAKES BEST MOST POWERFUL ERA and listening to these great tracks with great hi res sound brings me back 40 years when i was buying these recordings in record shops........... this is a very well worthwhile compilation for any whitesnake fan, if you are a post 1984 era whitesnake fan i still say CHECK OUT HOW GREAT THE ORIGINAL WHITESNAKE WAS prior to david americanizing the band by 1987.......

this is a nice japan HI RES MQA UHQ CD remastered edition of this humble pie compilation that was originally released back in the early 1980s, great track selection & great original japan edition of the japanese version of this lp regarding faithful obi strip & all. to bad more tracks where not added since the room on the disc allows for it, regardless this is a great basic retrospective of what humble pie where about!!!!!

this is a great MQA UHQ cd remaster of the one and only compilation to ever be released in japan only by budgie back in 1982 39 years ago!!! i have had the original lp since around 1983 or 84 & i always loved this compilation!!!! the remastering sounds great on this disc, im suprised this was not done earlier. the original lp japan replication is perfect as per the original 1982 lp release.... i wish ( even though the original lps where never released in japan) that a label like the BELLE label would do other budgie releases from 1978 through 1982 like impeckable, power supply and those, they would look and sound fantastic!!!!! always loved budgie!!

well, this is where things left off for me many years ago with king crimson, this disc originally released in 1974 was one of the best and i felt robert fripp used a lot of odd guitar , fuzz & some insane solos on this record so its always been a bit of a favorite of mine, i did not resume with king crimson when they re grouped in 1981 for more records, anyway ALL OF THESE MQAjapan masters have been a pleasure to listen to and sound the best they have ever sounded on the cd format as i stated with all other titles in this series!!! wonderful mini lp japan replication!!!, any serious robert fripp fan would love these for sound and to just own!! beautiful mini lps sleeves as per the originals only the way japan can do them......

great killer art rock here, as i said with this whole king crimson series these MQA remasters sound as good as any audiophile lp does & the beautiful japan lp sleeve replication is fantastic!!!! in the cd fromat i have never heard ALL of these sound better!!!!

again as with all these 2021 king crimson japan mastered MQA discs i feel these are some of the best sounding that i have ever heard on cd in almost 35 years of buying cds, the sound on these discs are as good as any high end audiophile lp & the japan packaging is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

as with all these 2021 king crimson remastered japan MQA discs they sound as good as any audiophile lp does & the japan packaging and all as well as the lp replication it is all beautiful between the sound of the discs & just holding the mini lp replica japan cds sleeves & inserts in your hand!!!!! this is a must for all british 70s prog rock fans!!!!!!!!!!

i got the whole set of these king crimson releases from the MQA japan mini lp cd remastered set & i must say these just could be the best, most clear sounding cd formats of these classics i have ever heard, the discs are sick sounding with clarity & the japan mini lp replication packaging is beautiful!!!!! IT WOULD BE NICE IF THEY DID THE EARLY ELP collection in this fomrat........

like the other person said that reviewed this i to am guilty of buying this amazing classic to many times over the past few decades, i felt last years 50th ann edition was really on spot!! anyway THIS 2021 EDITION with MQA remastering sounds amazing!!! fantastic original japan obi replication as per the original japan lp over 50 years ago!!! this was one of the biggest prog rock classics that kicked off the 1970s and is still regarded very high over 50 years on!!! amazing sound & bonus stuff on this!!! awesome japan packaging to...

this sounds amazing!!! the MQA japan only remastering brings this to a whole new level!!! amazing sound here and fantastic packaging!!!! again this is the best i have ever heard this now 50 year old prog classic!!!!! the japan mini lp here faithfully replicates the original japan lp & obi as per its release 50 years ago!!!! again i feel this beats the shm remasters regarding sound!!!!

this for me was the last great stones album 40 years ago, great shm crisp sound here and the packaging is loaded like the original uk as well as japan lp in replication form, i know the early 80s had arrived by the time this record hit the shelves in the summer of 1981 but for me personally as i said this was it for the stones i remember and grew up on them...........always loved HANG FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!

this came along in 1983, i must admit i always liked the title track for this stones album as well as the track she was hot, great sounding shm japan pressed cd, the stones sound was changing quite a bit at this point so this is where i left off with them, anyway still wanted to grab this one to complete the collection, great mini lp style lp as per the original japan lp issued back in 1983 & very good crisp sound here, i prefer all of the stones 60s and most of there 70s stuff best!!

i got this to complete this series of my japan shm lp replica stones collection but this was never my favorite and it is my least favorite stones record from the 1970s, there are good songs on here especially when the whip comes down, this was 1978 the big disco boom and you can hear elements of that on this record, still there are a few great songs here, FIGURES the sound on this one is FANTASTIC, LOUD, CRISP ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!! as with all of these the japan mini lp replication is perfect as per the original uk & japan lp issues from 43 years ago........

great sound here, this was the first stones album of the 80s released in june 1980, i felt this had a bit more rocking tracks on this. anyway like some girls the shm sound comes through crisp, clear & loud this disc sounds great!!!!, as with all of these the mini lp replication as per the original 1980 uk & japan lp is perfect.......

regardless of the situation surrounding this original recording & the fact that charlie watts did not play drums on this at all ( kenny jones the small faces/ the faces/later the who) did) and keith richards played very little on this as well i still feel this was one of the stones best records from the 1970s, 2 killer tracks TO PROUD TO BEG & THE TITLE TRACK ITS ONLY ROCK N ROLL are some of the best hits the stones ever had, cant belive this record is 47 years old already, anyway it sounds quite well in the japan shm compacted format and the original lp replication as per the original japan & uk lp editions came out fantastic!!!

the sound on my cd player sounds much more crisp then ITS ONLY ROCK N ROLL does for whatever reason, anyway this was a unique stones release back in 1976 as the recording sessions where RONNIE WOODS try out recordings for the stones gig BUT ronnie did not know they where recording all these originals that became this record BLACK AND BLUE... needless to say when RONNIE WOOD was informed he was the new guitar player for the stones and was mick taylors replacement, he was then informed and we are releasing a brand new album and YOU ARE ALL OVER IT and that is this record!!!, odd how on my player some of these sound much better then others, anyway very unique sound on this record, as usual great uk/japan original lp replication!!!!!

i have got an shm copy of these stones titles from 10 years ago or maybe it was a bit longer but it says the dsd master is from 2011 so i suppose that is when i bought these last, anyway the original uk lp replication is fantastic & so is the original japan obi replication from 50 years ago, anyway regarding the sound it depends on what type of system you play these shm mastered japan audiophile cds on!! i cant say my system is the best so i am probably not getting the full sound i should be!!!!! i can say this sounds very crisp and very clear so i have no complaints with the whole package, also it is very hard to get shm cd players in the usa......

this edition of exile on main st sounds a bit better on my system then sticky fingers just did, these 2 discs are coming through even louder & crisper so like i said before regarding sticky fingers it all depends on your system & like i said mine is not the best, if i had an shm player this would sound so much better i can imagine!! im happy with the way this comes out on my system, that is all that matters to me, anyway perfect uk original lp replication & great replica of the original obi strip from the original japan release about 50 years ago
