One of my all-time favourite soundtracks. I already have a U.S mastered issue of the disc but this Japanese release leaves it in the dust. It has a better bottom end and doesn't seem so toppy unlike the U.S release. Pat Metheny is in top form and David Bowies track "This Is Not America"... Still a knockout today as it was back on it's original release. Great stuff.

Bill Conti is in top form on his era defining score. This Japanese release doesn't have any of the shrillness that the U.S edition has, there is better bottom end and the top is crisp and clear proving yet again that all it takes is that little bit of extra time that goes into Japanese pressed discs. Excellent

A welcome return by the piano maestro Billy Joel. It's been a very long time between drinks by the wait has been worth it. Welcome back Billy.

A great overview of Donna Summers catalogue and with a DVD of the Disco Diva in action. Excellent stuff.

Tangerine Dream again proves why they are masters at their game. Fantastic score to a very under rated movie. Essential.

A truly fantastic soundtrack to Ken Russell's incredibly bonkers film of the same name with Roger Daltrey.

For those wanting to dip their toes into the world of Bob Marley this is a great place to start. The movie's not too bad either. Nice.

I was ready to just dismiss this as another cash grab release. How wrong was I. Way, way better than expected and for me at least the essential companion to Band On The Run. Better than you would think. Go for it.

The album that for many out there was their first introduction to the world of electronic music. Kraftwerk's Autobahn set the template for many to follow. A masterwork that has not dimmed with time.

Have been looking for this title for quite some time but was not willing to pay $80+ here in Oz. At last I've found it at an exceptional price on CDJapan. Bargain.

It is very rare that a soundtrack album can stand alone as it's very own masterpiece, "Godzilla Minus One" is just one of those rarities. A thumping score that can tell the story of "Godzilla" without the need for visuals, a sonic treat writ large by the very talented Naoki Sato. Magnificent.

A wonderfully broad overview of Jazz music through the last 70+ years. Beautiful recordings that should be a part of any audiophile's demonstration collection. For those of you looking to dip your toes into the world of Jazz then this is your essential primer with great tracks from the likes of Miles Davis, Julie London, Wes Mongomery, Art Pepper, Bill Evans, Dexter Gordon and Sarah Vaughn to name a few. Magic.

If you haven't gotten this astounding re-release yet don't hesitate and try the proxy service! Every track and I mean every track is an absolute joy. A massive talent gone too soon.

First up, I cannot speak a word of French but, that is no hurdle when it comes to enjoying Michel Polnareff's Best Of CD. Every track presented here is pure gold. Do yourself a favour and expand your music horizons, you won't be disappointed.

Received my copy this morning so straight to the stereo to fire it up. Well, I am suitably impressed. The direct CD portion just sounds great, but the real surprise was the SACD portion. Wow! Fantastic stuff. Packaging wise, what Sony Music has done is everything a fan could possibly ask for and some. Brilliant.

I first had TOTO IV on Japanese vinyl all those years ago and it was always the go to standard for auditioning new gear. Stupidly I sold it and got the first of many copies on CD. Not one of those discs came up to snuff compared to that Japanese release. They had nothing, just muddy muck that relegated this album to the has been bin. 2022 arrives and lo and behold I see this 40th Anniversary edition on CDJapan. I took the gamble hoping it would at the very least be better than all of my previous discs... Well, I certainly wasn't prepared to be blown away at just how good this release would be. Crisp clean highs and a bottom end to die for, and that was just the CD iteration! The SACD version was even better, with a presence that made you feel like you were in the Studio with them. Then there is the packaging, what more could you ask for? Very special indeed. Fantastic.

An essential addition to any serious music collection. Virtually all tracks have become standards in his live shows for years and are the soundtracks of most of our lives. Thanks Bruce.

Bought this album when it was originally released back in the day and played it to death. 2022 and I see it's available on CDJapan as a low-price reissue. Who could say no? After all these years it still sounds fresh and alive, a joyous celebration of an artist at his best and it still feels so good. Essential.
