Musical "Touken Ranbu" Go On Stage Zepp TourMusical "Touken Ranbu"This one is so funnyThe Gou On Stage side story really deserved the special concert that is the Zepp Tour! Not only did they include the funniest Oodenta Mitsuyo and Suishinshi Masahide, but they really put a lot of energy into making new songs and performances. I also highly recommend this concert if you ship the characters Oodenta Mitsuyo and Suishinshi Masahide as they have a lot of interactions here. The main concert is about 1 hour and 45 minutes long, but you'll also get three more discs worth of bonus material such as focus shots of the different characters.

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon [Complete Edition] 10Naoko TakeuchiThe end of Sailor MoonOh the final volume with the 5 final chapters with a lot of characters, which unfortunately can't get enough time to develop and we don't really get to know them, however, a lot of those cahracters grew to my heart. Especially Sailor Heavy Metal Papillion. In this volume everything is resolved. I'd not say every little plothole is explained, especially the weird take on time travel, but well that's doesn't really bother. I think the final arc says a lot about Taoism and how light and darkness always will continue to try overpowering each other. And as I said, Usagi gets so much development here. She's not the same 14 years old middle school girl who ended tragically as the moon princess in the first arc. No, she really fought in the best way, supported by the ones she loves. But also: there's a lot about Sailor Galaxia, Chaos and also Cosmos. Enjoy the series :)

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 5 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiThis volume is thiccYes, volume 5 is here as well and wow this is a really thick book! It has a much bigger page count than the others and so it covers most of the Mugen Gakuen Arc or Infinity Arc. All my personal favourite Senshi appear in this volume except for the "final Senshi". It's a bit sad that the entire arc didn't fit into the volume, but since this is already such a bulky book, I think you've got a huge bang for your bug.

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 6 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiThe other thicc one!Volume 6 is maybe the thickest book of all the manga. It contains the entire second half of the Infinity Arc and also starts out with the Dead Moon Arc or Dream Arc if you will. So in addition to the usual story, there are again two bonus chapters included. Chibiusa's diary which is more on the funny and lighthearted side - it's about the Tanabata festival. And we have Kaguyahime no koibito, which is about Luna having a crush on someone. You know, it's the same as the one Sailor Moon movie from the 90's anime. This volume is also highly recommended, since Sailor Saturn is finally here. The art is as pretty as always and the story continues in a well-paced manner.

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 7 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiFirst half of the Dream ArcI'd say that this volume contains the first half of the Dream Arc, minus the one or two chapters in the previous one. I didn't remember the Dream Arc to be this long, but here we are. The Dream Arc is in fact my favourite Arc since it tells sp much about character development and contains more clues about the overarching story. I just can say - yes, it's a highly recoomended volume. Please don't hesitate to get it no matter which version.

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 8 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiA lot of bonus chapters! The second half of the Dream Arc is here! I love it so much, especially because of the relationship between Chibiusa and Helios. I think there's a lot of character development for Chibiusa in this volume. It also shows that Chibiusa and Usagi are very different from each other and not only "kopies" as suggested in the previous volumes where the Moon Princess is always like their mother. In this volume there are also a lot of extra chapters that don't contribute to the overall plot, but are nice refreshing additions to the stories. There's another Chibiusa Diary chapter as well as love stories for Mako-chan, Ami-chan and Rei-chan. But now that we're finished with my favourite arc, the darkest one is yet to follow.

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 9 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiThis one is tinyI don't mean the format! I think I already mentioned that in the first volume, so I didn't just find out about this after 9 volumes ;) What I mean is, compared to the other volumes, this one is really, really short. It contains the first six chapters of the Stars arc, which covers about the first movie of the Cosmos anime movies. So you know exactly where the sotry is going. It's getting darker and darker and really sad! We're also getting a lot of character development for Usagi. Not that she doesn't get any in previous arcs, but I think in this final one, she's really growing from all of her experiences.

[Secondhand] Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon [Complete Edition] 4Naoko TakeuchiThe end of the Nemesis ArcThe Black Moon or Nemesis is about to end in this volume. I have also to admit that I adore the cover art of this edition. While the slightly older eidtion had the Senshi all look extra child-like, I love the combination with the Senshi's elements and their respective planets in the background! However, back to the volume, we have the rest of the Black Moon Arc in all its glory with a creepy Diamond, the deceiving Wiseman and Black Lady. Additionally there are two bonus short story revolving around Chibiusa and Hino Rei. Rei-chan's story is Casablanca Memory which is also a beautiful story, while Chibiusa's is more on the funny side. If you are not interested in the following arcs, this volume is a possible stopper to you, however, I recommend the entire series as I think the latter arcs are the most interesting anyway. To me the Nemesis arc has been the weakest in the entire series.
-
Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 3 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Takeuchi NaokoThe Nemesis Arc advancesThe contents of this volume are the same as in the previous eidtion, only that it also has one or two more chapters, which makes the edition down to 10 volumes which I think is a nice amount of books. Additionally the story continues with Chibiusa appearing properly in this volume until the plans of Nemesis are being revealed and also the relationship between Chibiusa and Sailor Pluto is discussed. For all people who like Chibiusa and Pluto, this volume is very recommended.

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon 1 (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiDark Kingdom Arc first halfThis volume covers the first half of the first Arc of the Dark Kingdom. This edition includes the chapters about Chiba Mamoru and stops by the appearance of Sailor V. There are no coloured illustrations except for the cover in this edition, a little sad, but the black and white chapter covers are still very beautiful. The new format is fairly small, so you'll know if you need glasses. The advantage with this format is that you can take it everywhere!

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon [Manga Bunko Set / Vol.1-10] (Kodansha Manga Bunko)Naoko TakeuchiWonderful editionsI'm so happy I finally got a complete set of the manga. I owned Sailor Moon partly in a German edition which had the images mirrored, so it would fit the "western way" of reading. Additionally it was translated from French, so there were many mistakes in that as well. In the end I got to know that the English translations weren't well translated either, especially the Stars Arc. So I found the best solution was to buy the whole set in Japanese and here I am, looking at it and admiring the beautiful illustrations! The order was beautifully packed as well, very secured and it arrived perfectly.

The Husky and His White Cat Shizun 1 [Light Novel]Meatbun / zolaida / Ishihara RikaOne of the greatest Light NovelsI'm so happy I've got the Japanese translation of this novel. I already own the English and the censored Chinese versions, but I think reading the story in Japanese is somewhat closer to the original, but still easier to read for me than the Chinese one. Meatbun or Roubao Bu Chi Rou has a beautiful wiritng style, which also requires you to be knowledgable of Chinese traditional literature. This volume covers the events past the Ghost Wedding, the text is a bit small and has about 2 pages in one, which makes it a little harder to read. However, the lightnovel has a very few illustrations, but those really look beautiful. They are similar in style as the Manhua, so I can really recommend this. There are also cultural notes in footnotes, so I have to say this is really a great alternative to the English release.

The Husky and His White Cat Shizun 2 [Light Novel]Meatbun / zolaida / Ishihara RikaThey get closerI think the Japanese version of the light novel follows somewhat the division of the English novels as we are almost at the first heavenly rift. Mo Ran gets more and more aware that his relationship to Chu Wanning has changed already and that he sees him in a completely different light already. However, he is also still determined to save Shimei in this lifetime. There's a lot of secret plots going on here, there are a lot of questions in the story, which you will first find out in far later numbers. Although the story of the Husky and His White Cat Shizun is very dark and serious, there are a lot of comedic scenes in the book that you will get something of everything. Jut be prepared that the whole story gets gradually darker with every novel.

[Secondhand] Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon [Complete Edition] 2Naoko TakeuchiFinishes the dark kingdom arcThis volume covers the second half of the dark kingdom arc, and adds the first chapter of the Black Moon arc. I guess it's for teasing a new beginning and not confuse new readers that there's still more content to discover.

Musical "Touken Ranbu" Uta Awase Ranbu Kyoran 2019Musical Touken RanbuThis is like HanamaruAh, I remember attending this musical concert live in 2019 when I was traveling Japan <3 And it really wasn't easy to get the tickets. But now, to this special Touken Ranbu musical concert: it feels like a huge Hanamaru upset, small stories about the different Touken Danshi's everyday life and they are all intertwined into an overarching story about summoning a new Touken Danshi in a shintou ritual. There are some original songs to the special musical concert, just like in most of the other ones. Most importantly the small daily stories of the honmaru are mostly comedic. Especially Tonbokiri's part is hilarious! You will have a good laugh, but also a good time overall with all their partying-songs. I'm really happy with this DVD, especially because I now can re-watch it in new year times, because I think it really fits that special season.

"Touken Ranbu (Musical)" - Hanakage Yureru Tomizu -Musical "Touken Ranbu"The tame musicalThis musical has an incredible dark tone, which partly comes due to the story, but also the songs. There are many slow, dark and moody songs in the main plot. The Team is quite different and not really working together (again!). A part of the teams is forgetting about a certain member and besides their usual mission they're giving themselves even more struggle by having another additional mission which is very difficult to accomplish. I wonder why there's no sign of Mikazuki, since the entire story is really dire. However this musical adds to the lore of the Touken Danshi and undermines also why Imanotsurugi and Iwatooshi exist - but I won't spoil that for you. Although the songs in this musical are very slow and calm, the idol live part in the second part tho... Those are the most upbeat songs and they're all very cheerful and uhm maybe a little suggestive. So the idol part definitely does make up to contrast the main part songs. That's really cool!

CLAMP PREMIUM COLLECTION Magic Knight Rayearth 2 1 (KCDX)CLAMPThe story continuesAh, I love Magic Knight Rayearth 2 (MKR2) so much! The continuition of the end of MKR1 is so moody and sad. The main characters are showing real character development while still remaining themselves. Well, the three girls return to Cephiro and now they need to help find a new pillar. Or a new god or goddess if you will. Other nations (or aliens, if you want to call them that) are going to try to become the pillar as a new addition to their original nations - but the Magic Knights decide to fight so only someone who truly loves the world Cephiro will become the pillar.
-
CLAMP PREMIUM COLLECTION Magic Knight Rayearth 2 2 (KCDX)CLAMPEnemies but also notMKR by Clamp is truly a masterpiece where you can never know if a character is truly evil or good. In this part you will learn about Lantis' motives and motivation which is far stronger than the other enemies' plans and motivations. Hikaru is plotting something in her head and I think most reader already guess what she is up to. THis part is super action loaded but also quite moody. I think the tone of the manga already shifted back in MKR 1 part 2, but still, it is always possible to get a little darker! I think you will enjoy this manga a lot when you like versatile stories and dynamic characters.
-
CLAMP PREMIUM COLLECTION Magic Knight Rayearth 2 3 (KCDX)CLAMPThe finale!MKR 2 part 3 comes with a genius conclusion and ahm some very funny surprises. I have to admit when I read the manga the first time as a teenager, I knew what the conclusion would be - at last partly. With partly I mean what Hikaru does throughout the story. However, how she would do the things she does and also Mokona's position in the story was very unexpected. I love the end of the story and I think it really stands out, while it is a typical "good old Clamp" ending. I wish all of the newer Clamp series' would have such good quality as their older masterpieces.

Touken Ranbu Muso (Novel Ver.)Tanaka HajimeLike the game, but has surprisesI am still in the middle of reading this novel, since I read slow and need to look up all the historical names and vocabulary - which I love! There are very few furigana, so please be prepared for that. Story vise, it follows the game Touken Ranbu Musou very, very closely. Sometimes up to the point where the skits are taken word for word. One of the best things in the Author's writing style are the vivid and exciting battle scenes! I'm not done reading, but I am sure the outcome and end of the story will be the same as the game :) I really recommend the novel, it has most of your favourite Touken Danshi such as Mikazuki Munechika or Yamanbagiri Chougi.
