"Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal: The Movie" Character Songs Eternal CollectionAnimationVery good
The Dream Arc has always been my favourite story arc in Sailor Moon and I'm beyond excited that the Amazoness Quartet and the Amazon Trio finally got their theme songs in this collection. "Welcome to the Circus" and "Dream's Eye" are my favourite songs on this CD - they really capture that circus troupe feeling well. I really enjoyed the senshi theme songs as well. Not my favourite Sailor Moon album, but I can warmly recommend this for fans of both Sailor Moon Crystal and the 90's anime.

Oh! Suketora!!! Yuri!!! on ICE / Original Skate Song Collection [Shipping Within Japan Only]Animation SoundtrackAmazing!
The music in this anime was all-around amazing and I had to get the CD as soon as I heard it was going to be released. A really wonderful collection, music that truly moves you. Highly recommended, get it while it's still possible.

Pretty Guardian (Bishojo Senshi) Sailor Moon Crystal 3rd Season Intro Song: "New Moon ni Koi Shite" & Outro song "Eternal Eternity" [CD+DVD]Sailor Uranus (CV: Junko Minagawa ) & Sailor Neptune (CV: Sayaka Ohara)If you're a fan, you'll love this
I've yet to watch the 3rd season of SMC but the music itself is already enough to make me want to do so asap! I got this single mostly for the ending theme, "eternal eternity", and I don't regret it one bit. The song is very catchy, dramatic even, and Minagawa's and Ohara's voices complement one another wonderfully (I love the lyrics, too). This is the long-awaited duet between Uranus and Neptune that we never got in the 90's anime, and I'm a happy fangirl. The A-track, New Moon ni Koishite, is a cute, happy-go-lucky tune that isn't as memorable as the ending theme but it has that certain Sailor Moon feeling to it that makes it fun to listen to. The DVD doesn't add all that much extra - it's definitely more than enough to just have the CD - but the opening/ending animations are beautiful to look at, and the "music videos" put together from clips from the anime are quite fun, like a sneak peek at the season. Good release, all in all, but you could save money and just buy the CD-only version if you're not a die-hard fan.

ColoursAyumi HamasakiTunes to dance to!
I feel like this album is the mental successor to her old LOVEppears album, there is something very similar in the feeling and sound of both albums. And it's definitely not a bad thing, quite the opposite. Her voice and her songs are more mature, more polished, and the dance songs are highly enjoyable. I found many of the songs getting stuck in my head afterwards. The only downside of this album was just that the ballads weren't very memorable - they felt boring and interrupted the flow of an otherwise excellent album. Still, I can warmly recommend Colours to any fan of Ayu's who likes her fast-paced dance songs.

A One [CD+DVD]Ayumi HamasakiOne of Ayu's best in the recent years
I ordered this album after a pause of several years and I'd fallen out of touch with Ayu's new releases entirely, so when I received the album and listened to it, I was amazed! She's always been my favourite j-pop artist but her sound has really matured in the past years and A One in particular blew me away. It's a very solid album with tons of great songs that stuck with me afterwards, and even the instrumentals are memorable and worth going back to. There isn't a single boring song. Definitely one of my favourite albums from her.

Next Level [w/ DVD, Limited Edition / Jacket A]Ayumi HamasakiTen points for Ayu's 10th album
I got my copy yesterday and first off, I need to say I was amazed at how fast it arrived - shipped from Japan on Monday and got it the net day! That's a new record for Air Mail. I was a bit disappointed with Guilty, so my expectations for this album were high - and it truly was worth the wait, for what an album it is! This is an excellent release for her grand 10th full album. The tracklist is nicely balanced even though the main focus is on dance/disco type songs and it's full of good, catchy melodies. There are only two songs that weren't that memorable and even those are listen-worthy and will surely grow on me over time. My only complaint is that again, like on Guilty, there are few too many instrumentals. But it's an extremely enjoyable release. My favorites are GREEN, Rule, Next Level, identity and LOVE 'n' HATE. As for the DVD, all the PVs are very enjoyable and of the usual Ayu quality - pleasant to watch and very fitting for the songs. And the Live CD was surprisingly good! I'm not one who normally enjoys live CDs but Ayu's vocals were so good that I could enjoy it even though it was just audio and you couldn't see the outifts or performances. I was so glad to hear her permorming many older songs, many of which she hasn't performed live in yars. I just wish they'll also release a DVD for this concert as well, I know I'd buy it.

Prima Rosa [CD+DVD]Hitomi ShimataniOne of Shimatani's best
I bought this album as a birthday present for a friend, and we both agreed that it's an excellent release with Shimatani's trademark of oriental/latino influenced tunes and extremely catchy singing. The PVs are beautiful and very high quality - Camellia and Taiyou no Hana are among my favorites. The album version of Camellia is definitely the strongest track here, it's different from the single version and in a very positive way. The album isn't very varied in styles, but it's entertaining and sure to please anyone who likes Shimatani's musical style. She's one of those singers who never disappoint you. It's funny that the album I consider as one of Hitomi Shimatani's strongest is the one I don't own myself.

Wheel of Fortune [w/ DVD, Limited Edition]Eiko ShimamiyaAnother excellent Higurashi theme
Eiko Shimamiya's haunting voice and beautifully creepy music has marked the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni series for a long while, so it's no surprise she recorded the theme for the movie as well. Once again it's a masterpiece; the lyrics are probably the best from her yet, very fitting for the movie and the Higurashi series as whole. I definitely like this single her best so far; both A- and B-sides are strong songs and Shimamiya's voice fits them excellently. A wonderful release topped with a PV that is guaranteed to give you goosebumps!

Taboo [CD+DVD / Jacket A]Kumi KodaShe did it again!
Even thought I knew her full album was on the way too, I just had to get this single for the second version of the PV and the bona fide sexy covers, I admit it. I fell in love with TABOO on the first listen - it's a very catchy disco track and I just can't seem to get enough of it. Simply put, it's a totally rocking song. Same can't be said of the B-side song Always, which was undeniably boring after TABOO. Nevertheless, a fine release and one of the Koda Kumi singles you should have in your shelf.

Trick [w/ 2 DVD, Limited Edition / Jacket A]Kumi KodaKoda Kumi is the ultimate entertainer
My favorite album from Koda Kumi so far is Black Cherry, and Trick didn't change that fact. But it's far better than Kingdom (which was a big disappointment for me). Trick is a good, strong album and this Limited Edition is a must-have for any fan of Kuuchan's. The tracklist full of different styles and it's well balanced. My only regret is that there are couple of forgettable, weak songs (Your love, This is not a love song, Joyful). But the strong points do excel them: the catchy dance tunes like TABOO and Show girl and sensual ballads like stay with me and Moon Crying are the big highlights of this release. Koda Kumi once again proved us that she is an artist - and an entertainer - who has the talent for various types of music. As for the extras, they are as high-quality as one could hope for. The PVs are enjoyable but my favorite is the Dirty Ballroom concert; this is a show like no other! The cameraman went overboard with the editing, but Kuuchan's vocals are fantastic and the whole show is very good. It's my favorite live from her up to date. So what more is there to say? Get it before it's gone!

FINAL FANTASY VII ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACKGame MusicMusical score with no equal
I've been a fan of FFVII since I was only 9 years old, and now almost 12 years later I finally get around to buy the soundtrack. There are no words to describe how I felt and still feel, it's overwhelming. I have very emotional memories of that game and they go hand in hand with the music; I definitely shed tears, smiled and enjoyed each track while listening. I guess you fellow fans know those feelings too, so let's put it shortly and say that this is something I've always wanted to have and it's a gem among all the albums I own, and I have many.

Next Level [w/ DVD, Limited Edition / Jacket A]Ayumi HamasakiMuch anticipated
After the long wait, Ayu is finally releasing her grand 10th album! I've been much anticipating this release and seeing how good her singles have been of late, this is sure to become another excellent release. I'm very much looking forward to the special case and the Countdown Live concert. Go, go, Ayu!

GREEN / Days [CD+DVD / Jacket C]Ayumi HamasakiAnother strong single from Ayu
I was really looking forward to this release and turns out it was definitely worth pre-ordering! The 1st press packaging is once again very beautiful and I loved the poster. I like GREEN much more than Mirrorcle World (which was a five-star single in my opinion as well). The song has a very recognisable, oriental style sound and it somehow sounds more like the "old" Ayu. The b-side, Days, is also very good and worth listening. I enjoyed both PVs, Ayu was very cute in Days but I find GREEN a bit better, the Chinese influence was very enjoyable and the dance scenes beautiful. My conclusion? You should definitely buy this single if you're into Ayu. It made my Christmas and would definitely make yours too. :)

A Complete -All Singles- [3CD+DVD / Jacket A]Ayumi HamasakiThe absolute collection
This is definitely the ultimate collection for all Ayu fans, both old and new alike. Even if you have all her previous albums and/or singles, this DVD-edition will perfect your collection - it's a memorable trip down the timeline, seeing and hearing how Ayu's singing and song-writing mature. It can well bring a fan to tears. Also, it's the perfect starting point if you are not so familiar with Ayu's work yet. It's definitely worth the price - get it while it's available!

A Complete -All Singles- [3CD+DVD / Jacket A]Ayumi HamasakiHighlight of the year!
I can't wait for this release! Three CDs of Ayu-goodness and the DVD extras sound fabulous. I mainly ordered this for the DVD contents (and the first press goodies) but having all her singles in the same release is just as good. Definitely the highlight of my year, there is no release grander than this for 2008! And the cover design looks beautiful!

Jupiter - Ayaka Hirahara Best [Regular Edition]Ayaka HiraharaTruly the best
This truly is Ayaka Hirahara's best: the song selections are superb and the songs work well together. I enjoyed Jupiter, Re:PEPPER and Eternally the most, but all the songs are excellent. It's a fantastic album to listen to. She has the most beautiful voice in the Japanese music scene at the moment and anyone who enjoys quality music should buy this album. Recommended to both new and old fans alike.

ayumi hamasaki Asia Tour 2007 A -Tour of Secret- "LIVE + DOCUMENTARY"Ayumi HamasakiMy favorite concert ever!
There aren't enough words to describe how much I loved this concert; it's beyond comprehension. Ayu's vocals are amazing, she puts a lot of energy to all her performances and all the costumes and choreographies are really just amazing. I can't stop watching this DVD over and over again! I loved the performance of "evolution", it was a really wonderful opening to a wonderful concert. I wasn't bothered by the commentary tracks placed between songs. They were an interesting watch and showed just how much work the tour required from Ayu and her staff. All Ayu fans: get it now. If you want to see a good Ayu concert, then you should pick this.

A Best 2 -Black- [CD+2DVD]Ayumi HamasakiA great collection
I mainly got this for the CD track "part of Me" and the DVDs, but I found myself enjoying the CD a lot even thought I own all her other albums as well. The tracklist is really good, there are no poor decisions there. My favorite part is definitely the music video DVD, it's great to watch and it had many videos I hadn't seen before. The video for "Free&Easy" both surprised me and made me cry; it's very touching. All the other videos are good too, but this one in particular touched me.

Koda Kumi Live Tour 2007 -Black Cherry- Special Final in Tokyo Dome [Limited Edition / Jacket A]Kumi KodaFantastic concert
This was the first live release I've seen from Koda Kumi and I was pleasantly surprised to see it was well worth the price. Kumi's vocals are excellent, just like in studio, and I enjoyed all the performances a lot. The whole choreography was very enjoyable and the guest performances were wonderful! I'm not a fan of Tohoshinki but their performance with Kumi was one of the highlights of the concert. All fans of Kumi should get this release, it's definitely worth the price.

Mirrorcle World [CD+DVD / Jacket A]Ayumi HamasakiWonderful Anniversary release!
I got my copy yesterday (it's got to be a new shipping record for Air Mail delivered goods) and just seeing the package, I knew it was going to be a high-class release. The long sleeve case itself is really beautiful and I loved the poster! As for the actual music, "Mirrorcle World" is a strong single release. The music is captivating and even though my Japanese isn't enough to understand the lyrics fully, I can tell she's done great job once again. It's definitely a memorable song. "Life" took me couple of listenings to start liking it, but it's not a bad b-side. I enjoy the chorus very much, but I find the new version of "YOU" a lot more enjoyable. Comparing it to the original version, you can tell how much her vocals have improved. And the PV for Mirrocle World? It has attitude, I certainly like it. Overall, this is a very highly recommended release, well worth your money. This is proving to be a good year for Ayu fans!
