Quartet!Japanese MovieBrilliant
Brilliant with just one small criticism and that being the usual from me... no English Subtitles!!! Why do I bother getting Japanese dvds if I can't speak, write, or understand the language I hear you eagerly think ( More like _ _ _ _ _ _ off Damon, well as you're so bothered I continue to watch because in my own humble opinion Japanese actors/actresses simply are the best, and I'm not on about fighting, but acting in general, so more subtitles please

Frankenstein [Priced-down Reissue]MovieA True Classic!
The immortal Boris Karloff stars as “Frankenstein”, a.k.a. “Frankenstein’s Monster”, the role that made him a legend! Dr. Henry Frankenstein sought power and fame. He wished to create a “new man” by assembling body parts from freshly-dead corpses then restoring them anew by exposing his assembled creature to a special ultra-violet ray created in his laboratory. By mistake, the brain of a violent criminal is put into Dr. Frankenstein’s creation. When this “new man” is given life, he is badly treated, (you’ll see why). As such, the violent madman’s brain takes control, and “Frankenstein’s Monster” runs amok, creating mayhem and murder wherever he goes, though truly through no fault of The Monster’s own. That, my friends, is precisely the point of this great “morality play”. The real treat is Karloff’s wordless performance as the hapless, much-misunderstood “Monster”. It was worthy of a Best Actor Academy (Oscar) Award at the time, except that the Academy’s voters didn’t consider horror movies seriously. It’s also worth mention how groundbreaking “Frankenstein” was in its time. Subject: A mad scientist who robs graves. Taboos: On display were very real-looking human brains in glass jars, “corpses” hanging from gallows, or lying on slabs. Before “Frankenstein’s” release in 1931, such things were absolutely never shown onscreen. The ultimate shocker was, of course, The Monster’s appearance, especially in close-up. Created by Universal Studios make-up wizard, Jack Pierce, with input from Karloff himself, this is a look that will remain durable in your nightmares. When The Monster first turns his face to the camera that first time, the camera cuts to a closeup. At that point, generations of moviegoers have received a never-forgotten chill up the spine! I dare you to use your Pause Control at that instant just to stare - and marvel at - The Monster’s face. Karloff’s face and character are a brilliant study in tragedy and misunderstanding played to the zenith of both. It’s not The Monster’s fault that he has a murderer’s brain! He even tries to be kind in playing with a child, but becomes scared and confused when he finds out that she can’t do what her flowers did....

Shonen Merikensack Standard EditionJapanese MovieOMG!!!
Okay, not English subs...Please put them in This movie is in my humble opinion the very second best movie Aoi Miyazaki, has appeared in so far, obviously her very best being Heavenly Forest Tada, kimi wo aishiteru (2006) Which for some reason I am unable to buy as I live out of Japan!!!! Getting back to where we were Shonen Merikensack, took me back over 30 years, to the day when my hair changed colour every gig attended lol ok, I did understand the spoken worked, but the music is amazing and what little Ms Aoi Miyazaki permits to be done to her in the name of ART, she deserved an oscar without a shudder of a delt, the other lads apart from being crazy, they're all brilliant. Now this is my humble opinion, don't take my word for it, buy a copy and see what you think

Let's Go, Jets (Cheer Dan - Joshi Kosei ga Cheer Dance de Zenbei Seihashichatta Honto no Hanashi -)Japanese MovieWoW
WoW this is an amazing movie, it is electrifying almost from the very first minute Suzu Hirose, was/is simply breathtaking, her body language shoots way way over her spoken word, this is pretty lucky coz I don't know a single Japanese word...yet, she easily out achieved any actress above her 19-20 YOA, I realise that this is discrimination, but if she could speak English, she could very easily be world class second to none

Minami-Kun no Koibito - My Little Lover (English Subtitles) Director's Cut Edition DVD Box 2Japanese TV SeriesGreat fun
This is a great follow-on possible of the series, the series keeps to the story generated from that of the first part pretty much, but what and who is brought in does add to the story very well, the two may be a little expensive, but honestly well worth it

Hitsudan Hostess - Haha to Musume, Ai to Kando no 25-nen. Todoke! Watashi no Kokoro-Japanese TV SeriesFantastic
I have been so interested in this story, ever since I saw it on YouTube, the actress: Keiko Kitagawa, whom I have a couple of her movies, but I intend to increase this number. Anyway I don't know how close to the individual's story the movie is, but yes the movie is very entertaining, but more so, its an education in a roundabout way, it shows so clearly just how strong a young lady Rie Saito is. I think that I can understand the negative feelings towards her working life, but to me in the movie she stays dressed, and doesn't break any laws, well not English one's anyway, regardless the movie yes was/is an education, but whether or not this interests you Hitsudan Hostess, is a bloody good movie with a splendid cast, Ms Kitagawa isn't the only good member, her mom was also brilliant to name just two

Koi to Onchi no HoteishikiJapanese MovieWhat a Surprise
First surprise at the speed the DVD arrived Second surprise, the quality of picture, it has to be one of the best pictures I have One and only let down...no English Subtitles, but it is a Japanese programme after all and its made for a Japanese viewer, not a bloody miserable foreigner such as yours truly!!!lol

Ano Koro Eiga Santora Series Shiawase no Kiiroi Handkerchi (The Yellow Handkerchief) Eiga Original Ongaku ShuOriginal SoundtrackYellow Handkerchief
For the critically acclaimed comedy romance film THE YELLOW HANDKERCHIEF, Masaru Sato provided a delightful little score that is bright and peppy with some very serious but not overly dark passages. The fully orchestral score itself does not “sound” particularly Japanese in nature but it does contain one ethnic source cue as the final track.

March Comes in like a Lion [Part 1] [Regular Edition]Japanese MovieNice addition
Just turned the movie off, it was good, again would of been a lot better for me with English Subtitles, you know, it's quite strange how some of Japanese/Korean/Chinese movies have subtitles, but others don't anyone know the answer?

Kanojo to Tadashii AsobikataJapanese TV SeriesLove this
I just love this movie, all 45 minutes of it lol I am not too sure about the poof's get up after graduation, but if you wanna look like an utter dick - head then so be it. The two leading cast member's I've never seen before and I've seen quite a few High School movies now, but regardless I do still rank them quite highly, but forget about the poof, he's better off dead and buried somewhere far away and forgotten about
