GSN-12 Eye Brow / Chikuhodo GSN SeriesMakeup BrushMedium eyebrow brush
Since I started to use my first Hakuhodo eyebrow brush, it opened my interests in collecting eyebrow brushes from different brand. I chose GSN-12 as my first Chikuhodo eyebrow brush since I think the size is similar to the ones I usually use. I feel the hair is a bit of softer than my other eyebrow brush. It does apply the eyebrow powder well and can draw the eyebrow precisely. But I won't say this brush surprise me. In general, it is still a good eyebrow brush.

G-C6 Domed Blush Brush / Houkodou SORA Brilliant Gold SeriesMakeup BrushComfortable and soft brush
This hair is very soft and comfortable when apply the powder on the face. I use it to apply cheek powder, it can blend it very well, but it won't spread to other area that I don't want to. It also can create pigment cheek effect even the bristle is very soft. The short handle make it easy to be portable.

B-TC-01 Tapping Concealer Brush / BISYODO SeriesMakeup BrushSpecial and good concealer brush
I found there are many Japan makeup Youtubers use this concealer brush, which make me very curious. So I decide to take it home. I don't have such type of brush, so it's very fresh to me. This brush does help me to apply the concealer more smoothly and easily. It can blend the concealer well but not to wipe them. But the handle is a bit of longer to me since it keep bumpping to my mirror when I use it. Besides, the size is a bit of big when blending the concealer on the under eye area. But general speaking, it still a good and special concealer brush.

ZE-2 Powder, Blush Brush / Chikuhodo ZEN SeriesMakeup BrushSoft brush
After trying Chikuhodo FO series brushes, I do fall in love with the Fox hair brush. When I know this series is also fox hair brush, I couldn't help but to place the order. However, due to the higher price, I decided to purchase 1 brush first. To be honest, I'm glad that I made the right decision. ZE-2 hair is really soft, I feel it's softer than FO series. But it's not dense and fluffy as what I expected. I think this brush is good for finish powder application, but this will not be my first choice.

Z-8 Cheek / Chikuhodo Z SeriesMakeup BrushVery soft brush
Grey squirrel brush is always my favorite due to its softness. Chikuhodo Z series is definitely one of my favorte. Z8 brush is so soft and it does help me a lot to deal with those very pigment blushes. By using this brush, it can blend the blush into the skin very well and make it look so natural effortlesslly. Sometimes I will use it to apply the setting powder or highlighter in specific area. The bristle is really soft and comfortable.

GSN-17 Shadow LinerMakeup BrushGood eyeliner brush
I purchased this brush is because a Taiwan Youtuber's recommandation. By the time I was looking for a eyeliner brush that can help me to draw precise eyeliner, and GSN-17 is the one. The hair is firm enough so that you can draw a clear and precise eyeliner. If someone is looking for the same effect, then don't miss this brush.
-
FO-8 Shadow LinerMakeup BrushGood Eye liner brush
FO-8 is the other eyeliner brush I would recommand. Actually this is the 2nd FO-8 I've purchased. The bristle of FO-8 is soft but still firm enought to help me draw eyeliner easily no matter the upper or lower lash line. GSN-17 and FO-8 are both great eyeliner brushed. The effect from GSN-17 tends to be precise and delicate, and the effect from FO-8 is more gentle and soft. Considering portability, FO-8 will be better choice than GSN-17.

FO-9 Powder brush/ Chikuhodo FO SeriesMakeup BrushGood Powder brush
I always prefer large powder brush than small one. FO-9 is not just large but also more fluffy due to its character of fox hair which makes it more comfortable when apply the powder on the skin. Besides, the ability of taking or releasing the powder is also good. It does help me to apply setting powder quick and easily. One thing to note is the hair seems a bit of prick after I washed it one time, but it doesn't bother me too much.

FO-3 Cheek / Chikuhodo FO SeriesMakeup BrushAmazing brush
This is my first experience with fox bristle brush, and I do feel astonished after using them. When the first time I used FO-3 to apply the blush, I'm surprised that it can not only just blend the blush very well but also keep pigmented enough that I want, which effect is so much better than using my other blush brushes. The fox bristle is so comfortable but still keeps the flexibility like the goat hair. I'm happy to purchase this brush. Just one thing to note, the fox hair seems to become more fluffy after starting using them. So for someone is looking for precise or small area blush application, FO-3 might not be the best choice.

FO-7 Eye Shadow / Chikuhodo FO SeriesMakeup BrushRecommand this eye shadow brush
Chikuhodo FO series brushes always surprise me! In my first thought of how to use this brush is to take it as a eyeliner brush because of its taper type. After using it for many times, I found this brush is more than that. It can blend the eyeshadow very well, but also create pigment effect around the corner of eyes if you want to. Of course it can be a eyeliner brush. But if you prefer more precise eyeliner effect, I will recommand GSN-17 than FO-7. But if you are looking for a verstile eye shadow brush, FO-8 will be the first choice I recommand.

[f-04] Mineral fu-pa03 / Koyudo fu-pa SeriesMakeup BrushGreat foundation brush
I've heard the great reputation of Fu-pa03 for very long time, so I decided to purchased it. When I used it to apply foundation on my face, I do feel surprise! The foundation is well and averaged applied on my face, and I don't feel it thick as I originally thought. There's no brush marks either when I use this brush to apply the foundation. Besides, by using this brush, i can finish the base makeup quickly than I usually do. It's really a good choice to purchase this foundation brush if you need a one.

FO-4 Cheek, Highlight / Chikuhodo FO SeriesMakeup BrushPerfect blush brush
This is my first time trying a fox haired brush and it’s absolutely beautiful. So soft and applies blush and bronzer perfectly. I find myself reaching for it every time I do my makeup and intend on adding more brushes from this line to my collection.

DEKA fu-pa01 Extra Large Powder Brush / Koyudo fu-pa Series WhiteMakeup Brushwork of art
One of my absolute favorite brushes!! I instantly fell in love with the design of the beautiful handle with its subtle pink pearlescent sheen as the light hits. Can stand on its own on my vanity as well! Ridiculously soft with a lot of bounce to it. Like a makeup sponge but in the form of a luxurious brush using goat hairs.

G-S1 Flat Eye Shadow Brush / Houkodou SORA Brilliant Gold SeriesMakeup BrushHighly recommend!
I bought the G-S2 brush first and was blown away with not only the softness of the Canadian Squirrel hairs, but also the product pick up and lay down. So I decided to try the G-S1. This is a very large eyeshadow brush (20mm long), but the hairs are silky soft and it has good density to it. I prefer this over the Eihodo S-1 - that brush is thinner and feels a bit...flimsier in comparison to this brush. Very good at blending, very good at one and done shadows. If you have small eyes - this is not the brush for you. (Go buy the G-S2 instead!) I'm so happy I have this brush in my collection.

2207-03 3D Powder Brush / BlackMakeup BrushLovely brush, fantastic shape
I am thoroughly enjoying this brush- far more than any of the other brushes I recently ordered, and this is the most affordable by far. I really like the way the artisans shaped the goat hair. It hugs the face beautifully and applies blush, bronzer, and powder very well. I wish that there was more fude with this style of head. I almost didn’t get it because I’ve been trying to watch how much I spend, but I’m so glad I did because this brush is one of my new favorites! And I really like the sleek, black handle and ferrule. Lovely.. just lovely:)

MK-SK Sakura Powder Brush / Chikuhodo Makie SeriesMakeup BrushOne of the most beautiful Maki-e brushes
Usually not a flower fanatic, but the red branches and different holographic flowers as you turn the brush around was just so eye catching. You can also see specks of red scattered around the brush as you rotate it. Since squirrel bristles actually pick up light amount of powder and apply diffusely, large squirrel brushes with round flat designs like this are actually very great at patting on or swiping products on your face efficiently while achieving diffuse makeup application.

Koyomo hana Pearl White Face BrushMakeup BrushVery soft goat hairs
Touted as one of the softest goat hair brushes available now in the market so I wanted to try to avoid setting makeup with squirrel brushes. I definitely agree that on skin they are the slightly softer than rephr, Wayne goss 13, and the Koyudo y-01 powder brush. These brushes are definitely soft that they don’t pick up as much products as other goat brushes I have, but the high bundling density still give them resistance and volume allowing effective powder application. The shaft of the bristles definitely look and feel coarse considering the hair type as Haku-ototsuho Yomo, compared to Wayne goss 13 Saikoho hair. The face brush is great for patting and swiping on products. I use adapalene on my skin for acne, so my skin is sensitive. I didn’t feel any poking sensation, but repetitive application and buffing can still lead to sensitivity. But this is only after I intentionally tried to apply with pressure and passed through my skin more than 20 times to see if anything will happen. So, for now I am happy I bough them, and will use them with squirrel or fox hair brushes in my routine. I love the white pearlescent handle and metallic dark pink ferrule. The shape and size of the handles looks and feels ergonomic to use even though they are shorter than most face brushes I have.

Koyomo hana Pearl White Blush BrushMakeup BrushVery soft Goat hair
The blush brush is a great size for buffing in powder products especially finishing powder. Since the brush has high density of hair as a round brush it will apply blush in a larger area than flat blush brushes. I alos got the face brush version, and shared the same sentiments as below. RR-C2 Cheek Brush / Chikuhodo Regular Series RedMakeup BrushGreat detail cheek brush
I love this for detailed blush application and shimmery blush topper application. The brush itself is shorter than I expected, but I love the red color of the handle. Definitely a must have from the red series.

y-01 Powder Brush / KOYUDO Yoshiki SeriesMakeup BrushGreat spherical buffer
I love this for buffing powders in, especially powder foundations. I love buffing in powders with large domed top than flat top brushes. The spherical shape makes it easier to buff around since the edges are not limited to the angle of how domed it is on top. Its quite soft for how dense it is. Definitely softer than my rephr 24 that I use for the same purpose. Haven't felt a bristle poke me yet.
