ネバープラネットの王、グランテ国王亡き後、王子であるガルンテが即位しネバープラネットの国政を担っていた。民衆と王室の期待を背負うガルンテは重圧と孤独の中で一人苦悩していた。そんな時ヘドラン峡谷にある神殿跡に世界を支配できるパワーを持つ秘宝が隠されている事を知ったガルンテは危険を顧みず神殿跡に向かうが、ガルンテの即位に反発するムサンガ大公が放った殺し屋に襲われる。偶然通りかかった太陽の戦士レオーナに間一髪の所で救われるガルンテ。ガルンテはチャーミングで心優しく勇敢なレオーナの虜になり、レオーナを王室に向かい入れるが、王位を狙うムサンガ大公はレオーナの弟子で恋人であったシリウスを利用しレオーナとガルンテを引き離そうとする。それはネバープラネットを子供が支配する星に変えようとする大魔王ガルンテを生み出す事になるとは知る由もなかった・・・。
