Hatsune Miku Symphony Miku Symphony 2022 Orchestra Live Blu-ray

While it's still a wonderful performance, the set list arrangement and a number of other negatives makes this one of the worst of the Miku Symphony concerts up to this point. Likes: The marimba segment was a nice surprise. The violin concerto was beautiful. Finally getting to see “The Name of the Sin” performed. This was a beautiful orchestration on the 2019 CD, but for some reason we didn't get a Bluray for that year. This is the first time we can see it performed via disc. Dislikes: There's no musical theming this year. I did not feel the 15th anniversary was represented well enough. We had too many repeats from recent years. I suspect they missed doing a unique piece for Rin as well, however I may have missed it since I'm not familiar with every song here. I believe “Ao o Kubete” is the main song for this year. It's beautiful and is also played during the credits, but for some reason they play it before the encore and end with SpiCa instead. SpiCa was already played as the ending song for 2019 and has even been repeated. I cannot understand why it was arranged this way. The set list arrangement feels too random this year. Vampire feels out of place as the song to start the concert off and should have been more in the middle. “Look This Way, Baby” feels very out of place between the dramatic “Odds & Ends” and “The Name of the Sin”. There was just an inconsistent mood throughout much of the concert. No jazz section this year. Still no choir yet. We still don't have the softer post-intermission performance segment back. No dayos (costume characters) this year, which is a very strange break from norm. I think there's been a mastering issue with the past few concert Blurays because some instruments, particularly the piano, are nearly inaudible most of the time. They'll often show someone playing the instrument on camera, but unless it's a louder instrument you can barely hear it over everything else.
