The movie itself can not compare to the oriignal. That said this box makes for an interesting release, as there is nothing comparable in the other two entries in the trilogy. I have to disagree with the previous reviewer in that the construction of the box is a little flimsy, made of reasonably thin card stock. The box opens to reveal a slip out tray of even thinner card that contains both the DVD and the rather useless trincket. The jewel in the crown for this however, is the superb art book that covers all of the trilogy. There is little in the way of text, but the concept art more than makes up for this. Recommended for completist fans only.

This is the third installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean series. This time around, Jack Sparrow is saved from Davy Jones' locker in order to release the sea goddess Calypso with the help of the pirate lords to defeat Lord Becket and ultimately Davy Jones. About the boxset: probably one of the best movie boxsets there is; the artbook contains drawings and designs for al three movies, there's also an accessory for your cell phone or you could use it as a collar. There are 4 postcards with the pictures of Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swann, Will Turner and the poster of the film. The film comes with 2 bonus DVDs, one with the regular extras and the other containing exclusive material for this limited edition. The packaging is superb, proving once more that Japanese editions are made to satisfy the biggest fans.
