This is great soundtrack for the show. Yes, some of it is a little repetitive, but amidst all the repetition, all the tracks have their own uniqueness. Otherwise this was an awesome CD. Buy with confidence! I almost wanted to buy this one just for the cover art. Isn't it awesome, too?!

This is the second OST for the Death Note series. it picks up where the first left off. More great music.

The second Death Note original soundtrack is a good soundtrack, but at least in my opinion it is not as good as the first one. While it has many more songs, and many of them are really good, the first one was more, for lack of a better word, epic compared to this one. Also it doesn't help that it contains the 2nd OP/ED theme by MAXIMUM THE HORMONE which I don't like, bringing this one down. For people that liked the first one and that like MAXIMUM THE HORMONE, this will probably be a good purchase, but be advised that if you expect it to be an advancement from the first, you'll be disappointed, as it sounds too much like more of the same (which isn't bad in and of itself, but I hoped for more).
