One of the best soundtracks ever, just listening to it makes me feel as if I'm re-watching the anime.

It was inevitable that I purchase this soundtrack. I can remember when I watched the first episode of the anime, I didn't make it through the opening song before I said: "Wow, I've got to get this!" So I'm here to tell you, this is a wonderful CD to have even if you haven't seen the show. It has a nice blend of isntrumental tracks that would appeal to just about anyone.

12 Kokuki is one of my all-time fav'. I really liked a lot the high quality of the work done to give life to this fantasy world and the atmosphere of the whole story. I think that this is in great part due to the quality of the music. If you've liked this show, like me, you should have been mesmerized by the music and sounds of this anime. In this CD (and the "image album" from the same compositor for the same show), you have all the important music and dialogs to revive the show. Definetely worth buying.

You don't have to be a fan of Twelve Kingdoms to love this soundtrack, but it helps. The music is mostly beautiful melodies involving traditional instruments, with the occasional change-up thrown in; there's one piece (of battle music) with a unique almost-hard rock sound. The full slow version of the ending theme is also a nice touch. Overall, it's a gorgeous album that I can't help but recommend to any fan of lovely instrumentals.
