2018年に韓国でデビューし、2024年11月15日(金)に韓国で発売された11TH MINI ALBUM『GOLDEN HOUR : Part.2』が、米・Billboardのメインチャート「Billboard 200」にて1位を獲得。最近リリースした12TH MINI ALBUM『GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3』は「Billboard 200」で2位にチャートインし話題を集めた。これでATEEZは8TH MINI ALBUMから12TH MINI ALBUMまで計7作のアルバムが「Billboard 200」のTOP7にチャートインする大記録を打ち立てた。さらに、12TH MINI ALBUMのタイトル曲「Lemon Drop」は、米・ビルボードのメインソングチャートである「Hot 100」へのチャートインを果たし、メインチャートである「Billboard 200」と「Hot 100」を同時に席巻し、並々ならぬ底力を見せている。また現在は、世界各国で大規模なワールドツアーを開催するなど、グローバルな人気を誇る韓国の8人組ボーイズグループ「ATEEZ」。そんなATEEZが、ユニバーサルミュージックに移籍後初となるフルアルバムをリリースすることが明らかとなった。ATEEZが日本でフルアルバムをリリースするのは、2021年3月にリリースとなった「Into the A to Z」以来、約4年6か月ぶり。タイトルは、「Ashes to Light」 (ヨミ: アッシュズトゥーライト)で、"困難からの新たな希望"という意味が込められている。今作「Ashes to Light」には、今までリリースされたシングルの表題曲「NOT OKAY」や「Birthday」はもちろん、それぞれの作品に収録されている「Days」、「Forevermore」の4曲に加えて、今回のアルバムのために新録された5曲を含む計9曲が収録される予定。初回フラッシュプライス盤には、ブックレット20P、メンバー別セルカトレカ (初回フラッシュプライス盤限定絵柄・全8種よりランダム1枚)封入。
