A deluxe expanded edition of the classic album "Wheels of Fire," the first double album in history to be certified platinum, originally composed of studio and live recordings, featuring numerous additional alternate versions of the included tracks and live recordings from the same period. Of the total 63 tracks, 37 tracks are previously unreleased. Consists of 5 CDs, an English booklet, and a Japan edition booklet. On June 14, 1968, the supergroup Cream, consisting of Eric Clapton (guitar / vocal), Jack Bruce (bass / vocal), and Ginger Baker (drums / percussion), released their third album "Wheels of Fire." Following the previous work, the album was produced by Felix Pappalardi and engineered by Tom Dowd, and despite being a 2-LP configuration combining studio and live recordings, it became a major hit, reaching No.1 in the US and No.3 in the UK. This package includes, in addition to the original album, many alternate versions of the included tracks and recordings from the same period that were included on Cream's live albums. Among them, 37 tracks are previously unreleased. Disc 1 includes the 2026 remaster of the studio recording part of "Wheels of Fire," including the group's signature track "White Room," as well as all 9 tracks of phase-corrected remasters created by digitally correcting the stereo sources. Disc 2 includes stereo and mono versions of all 9 tracks from reference tapes of the studio recording part originally owned by producer Felix Pappalardi, all previously unreleased. Disc 3 includes all tracks from the live recording part of "Wheels of Fire," including two long tracks exceeding 16 minutes such as "Toad." Disc 4 includes live recordings from the same period as Disc 3, including tracks that appeared on "Live Cream" (1970) and "Live Cream Vol.2" (1972), as well as the previously unreleased track "We're Going Wrong" recorded on March 10, 1968. Disc 5 includes rare recordings such as the single "Anyone for Tennis" composed by Clapton, as well as alternate versions and mixes of tracks from the studio recording part. Of the 15 tracks, 9 are previously unreleased. The English booklet includes detailed liner notes by music writer Jim Farber about the making of "Wheels of Fire." Japan edition only includes translation of the English liner notes and lyrics with bilingual translation. SHM-CD format.
