Description

The debut album of Queen ("Queen I") released in 1973 is reissued with remixing and restoring by Justin Shirley-Smith, Joshua J. Macrae, and Kris Fredriksson. Additionally, It includes another takes, demos, live tracks, and more. This is the first time that Queen's album has been newly remixed in stereo. CD1: "Queen (2024 mix)" features the original tracklist planned at the time of release with the latest remix and remaster, and includes "Mad the Swine," which was not included in the original LP, on track 4. CD2: Features unreleased versions of the album tracks in the original order. Recorded in Trident Studio and De Lane Lea Studio. You'll also hear conversations between the band members. CD format is SHM-CD exclusively in Japan.

クイーン史における重要な第一章を飾った1973年のデビュー・アルバム『戦慄の王女 (クイーンI)』 (※原題: 『Queen』改め『Queen I』)が、発表から半世紀以上を経て、この度ジャスティン・シャーリー=スミス、ジョシュア・J・マクレー、クリス・フレドリクソンの手によりリミックス及び修復を施され、バンド自身が長年望んでいたサウンドに生まれ変わった。さらに、新たなトラックリストや、CD2には完全未発表音源を収録。この重要作品の究極の完全版が完成。クイーンのアルバムが新たにステレオ・ミックスし直されるのは、本作が初めて。 ●CD1: 『戦慄の王女 (クイーンI)』 (2024ミックス)に収録されたアルバム本編では、発表当時に元々予定されていたトラックリストが最新リミックス&リマスターで復元され、オリジナルLPには未収録だった「マッド・ザ・スワイン」が1972年にバンドが意図していた通り、アルバム本編の4曲目に収録されて復活。 ●CD2:『戦慄の王女 (クイーンI)』セッションには、アルバム本編収録曲の完全未発表ヴァージョンを曲順通りに配列。それぞれがオリジナルとは完全に異なっており、トライデント・スタジオとディ・レーン・リー・スタジオの両方で録音された未発表音源を用いて今回新たに制作されたものとなっている。出だしのミスや、ガイド・ヴォーカル、バッキング・トラックや別テイク等の音源に混じり、メンバー同士がお喋りや冗談 (「君だったろ、バルサラ君!」)を交わしたり、時には不満を表したりといった、会話部分も収録。別テイクの大半はアコースティック・ギターを中心に構築されており、エレキ・ギターは後から追加する形となっていて、これらの別ヴァージョンではオリジナルとは違った雰囲気が醸し出されている。●日本盤のみSHM-CD仕様

      Listening to the remix is like hearing this album for the first time all over again. The clarity, the depth, and the power of the mix are breathtaking.       For this who just want to hear the remix 5

      For those of you who don't want to spend a lot of money on the Super Deluxe box set, then this is a great way to hear the remix of Queen I. Disc two includes unreleased versions of the album tracks in their original order. So this is a very scaled down version of the Super Deluxe version, with just the new remix, for those interested.
