OK, let me start by saying that I have not listened to this on CD. I recorded the concert when BBC Radio 1 broadcast it in 1979. I had it on Tape and virtually wore it out, yes the concert was that good. Some of the piano playing is just breath taking. On several tracks Elton veers off of tangents of long instrumental brakes, which at the time sent a chill down my spine it was that good. I am not a lover of live concerts, but this one is worth a listen even if you are not an Elton John fan. For one man on a piano and a percussionist to deliver such an entertaining musical extravaganza is unbelievable and mins blowing. I can't wait for CD Japan to deliver my copy to me.
