Kiefer, a symbol of the thriving LA jazz scene, makes his highly anticipated Blue Note debut with a star-studded lineup of guests. Kiefer, a pianist/producer and one of the most important figures in the LA music scene, releases his first new album since moving to Blue Note. Known as one of Los Angeles' "best-kept secrets," Kiefer has been described as a musician who "plays the keyboard not with his fingers, but with his soul." True to those words, he has carved out the boundary between jazz improvisation and hip-hop beatmaking with his unique sensibility, creating a new form of musical expression. His one-of-a-kind style, which he calls "Over the Breaks," has drawn attention, and his Japan concert this year was also a great success and became a major topic of conversation. The debut release by his new band "FATHERS" with Nate Smith, CARRTOONS, and Kenny Beats has also been well received. On this album "Memory Bomb," his style is taken to even greater heights. CARRTOONS and Sibo join as co-producers, while a wide range of star guests from various genres, including Nate Smith, Cisco Swank, Walter Smith III, and Amber Navran (Moonchild), come together. While creating fresh chemistry through a variety of combinations, the work never loses Kiefer's unmistakable character no matter where you listen. The album title is said to be a poetic expression of "dreams" for Kiefer. It carries three meanings: dreams seen while sleeping, dreams one hopes to make come true, and dreams held as life goals, all of which form important themes of this work. Rich in storytelling, the album reveals a different expression each time it is heard through improvisation. Nostalgic, poetic, and groove-filled tracks invite listeners into the dream world envisioned by Kiefer himself. Expectations continue to grow for Kiefer as he finally makes his Blue Note debut. *This product is a Friday-release item, so it will be delivered on or after the release date.
