A previously unreleased live album is released worldwide from Resonance Records, supervised by producer Zev Feldman, known as the "Jazz Detective." This rare live recording from November 1963 at The Village Gate in New York features the legendary multi-reed player Rahsaan Roland Kirk, who celebrates his 90th anniversary in 2025. Originally recorded for a documentary film about Kirk, the project was abandoned after the producer's death, and the tapes were stored by the recording engineer for over 60 years. The booklet includes rare photos, new liner notes, and interviews with pianist Jane Getz, saxophonists James Carter and Chico Freeman, and trombonist Steve Turre (Japanese translation booklet included).
