寺嶋由芙、前作『きみが散る』から、3年2ヶ月ぶりの待望のアルバムリリース。既発楽曲での、西寺郷太 (NONA REEVES)・児玉雨子・kiki vivi lily・松井五郎など豪華でバラエティ溢れる制作陣に加え新曲も数曲収録予定の、独自のアイドル道を体現した1枚。表題曲となる、「サバイバル・レディ」は、寺嶋由芙の恩師であるトミヤマユキコ作詞、2017年「夏'n ON-DO」を提供し寺嶋には2度目の楽曲提供となる、怒髪天・上原子友康作曲による作品。80年代アイドルを彷彿としたメロディに、寺嶋由芙のアイドルとしての生き様を歌詞にのせた楽曲。「仮縫いのドレス」(2021年6月3日先行配信)は、作詞・松井五郎、作曲・中田裕二、編曲・山川恵津子の制作陣での作品。最新シングル「みんな迷子」からの流れを踏襲しながら、中田裕二のやさしい独特なメロディと寺嶋由芙の声とのコラボレーションを堪能できる。そして、a flood of circle・佐々木亮介の提供楽曲「Best Honey」は寺嶋由芙の新たな一面を引き出した楽曲、にゃんぞぬデシの提供楽曲「冬みたい、夏なのに。」は女性目線の切ないラブソングとなっている。
