PENPALSがオリジナルアルバムとしては2004年『ROCK'EM ALL』以来、実に18年振りとなるアルバムをリリース! 2021年に同メンバーによるAFOK名義での1stアルバム『KYOMO』を発表。90's USオルタナティブ・ロック～グランジの影響が色濃く出されていたが、メンバー自身が「PENPALS史上最もPENPALSらしいアルバム」と言い切る今作は、初期作『PENPALS』『AMERICAMAN』以上に明快なローファイ・ポップに仕上がっている。
