A legendary cult sci-fi horror film is finally released on Blu-ray in a director's cut edition produced to commemorate its 35th anniversary, presented as a three-disc deluxe set. While Sam (Philip Sayer) and his son Tony (Simon Nash) are spending time at a rural lodge, they are attacked by a mysterious light, and Sam is taken away by an unknown presence. Three years later, a glowing flying object descends in the mountains, and a bizarre quadrupedal creature emerges. The creature attacks a nearby woman and impregnates her. After regaining consciousness, the woman gives birth to an adult man from her rapidly swollen abdomen, who turns out to be Sam, long missing. Sam then reunites with his wife Rachel (Bernice Stegers), who has moved to London, and with Tony. In addition to the director's cut version, this release also includes the theatrical version with a different ending [86 minutes / monaural / American Vista size].
